@ah1217 Considering one of the harshest critical reading curves (3 years ago) enabled you to get 3 questions wrong and still get an 800, this test will probably have a similar or slightly harsher curve.

GUYS! Don’t worry about this test. I’m pretty sure everyone did excellent on this test!
The SAT is only a number, not an indicator of one’s intelligence!

@scarlettlovesivy Oh, were those tests somehow different? I thought the SAT hasn’t had any major overhauls since 2005.

This one looked the same as past tests to me. I didn’t feel it was different like I did when I took the October one. The vocabulary was way easier on the October one. I NEED a generous curve

@FullMixedOxide It’s based on older tests and though the test hasn’t changed, the way they’re doing curves has been somewhat different so I learned it’s best to not look at those. Unfortunately you can count yourself at least 10 points less than what you see.

how bout the sat curves released by erik the red…thos seem accurate?

sourjouner truth one was prefigured right?

did anyone get 3 straight b’s at the end of the 20 min math section

@scarlettlovesivy Huh that’s interesting, thanks for the info! Do you know whether the underlying way of how the CB creates the curves has changed or whether they have simply been making them harsher over time (maybe to make up for people getting better at the test)?

@biosmasher Those are what I used and for Critical Reading, I would take the worst possible curve and for Math, it’s usually on point (avg), however it depends on the difficulty. If it was EXTREMELY easy then you’re looking at the worst possible. Writing is okay. I’d say CR is hard to predict bc the curves are diff.

What was the Sourjourner Truth one @scarlettlovesivy ? Prefigure?

@ah1217 Yes, I believe most people in this thread agree that the answer contained ‘prefigured’ (some people also chose the answer with ‘championed’).

@FullMixedOxide Honestly, they won’t say it but Iv’e realized harder tests and harsher curves. It’s so unfair. If you look at old tests, they were much easier and then you look at their scale and it’s so freaking lenient like what the heck. But anyways hope you guys did extremely well

Yes for math 3 b

I didn’t take the test guys LOL I was just checking in on #OctoberSquad and wanted to see how it went out of curiosity.

lol yea guys it was prefigure…

What did people choose for “what both authors would agree upon” in the punctuation comparison? Was it language is not static? Or was it language can achieve clarity?

I said the static one.

same here , static

yup static is correct
