***Official Nov 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

Yeah I figured. I thought it asked for a y intercept of -2 so I got confused. There goes my 800.

Alright, i didn’t get that problem, only one but I put a random letter in at the end, do you remember which letter 22.5 was, a or b

My friend took the SATs in October this year… he said he got 4 wrong on math and had a 700. Don’t know if that helps @joeythedog‌

Did anyone else put the crude answer for the pencil question? I dont remember it being about messy creativity but more about unrefined work.

22.5 was letter C I think.

A was 45.
B was 30?

-3, skip 1 might be a 700? 710?

@Tkat97 it was 5x+10. 10x+2 does not have a slope of 5. It wanted an x intercept of -2, not a y intercept of +2.

@ThatWhoGuy42‌ Definitely not A but I can’t be certain it was B either.

Does anyone remember completely the digitizing maps question?

Btw, you would just plug in 0 for y and solve for x.

Idk, my friend shounak got 2 wrong and got a 730 :/

Can someone explain the x-intercept/parallel line problem? I blanked out but still guessed the correct answer. How would we use the x-intercept (of -2) to solve it?

@iconicsoul‌ I think you would solve for “b” in y=mx+b

There wasn’t an answer choice that was 10x +2…

You make y 0 and solve for x.

what was the answer to the question

there were 2 parellel lines and a circle. How many times cant the lines and the circle cross?

the answer chioces were like

0
1
3
4
5

Well c was 40 and all of the others were greater than that, so it must’ve been B which is what I LITERALLY bubbled in at the end of section 10 because I wanted to have every answered, now I know I got it right!!! >:D< praying for an 800

You weren’t give the y-int though (b).

You plug in 0 for y, because there is only an x intercept when y is 0…

To solve the intercept/ parallel line problem…

Original equation had a slope of 5 (coefficient before x) so the answer must have a slope of 5 as well which eliminates a couple of the answers. The x intercept was -2 so substitute -2 in for x and 0 in for y (x intercept means y= 0 and its given that the x coordinate is -2).

Once you substitute it in you get…

0 = 5(-2) + b

solve for b and you get 10.

Final answer has slope of 5 with b value/ y intercept of 10 so the answer is

y = 5x + 10
