Thanks! @synack

For the digitizing one i put “help” because isnt it supposed to be helps

“Digitizing maps “helps”…” is incorrect…

22.5 ik trying to figure out which letter that corresponds to, but I had that section

No one can quite agree on where corn came from. Most modern crop staples — wheat, rice, barley — resemble their ancient counterparts in a recognizable way, but not so for corn. “Genetically, corn’s nearest relative is a wispy grass called teosinte,” says historian and researcher Bill Bryson. “But beyond the level of chromosomes there is no discernible kinship. Corn grows into a hefty cob on a single stalk and its grains are encased in a stiff, protective husk. An ear of teosinte, in comparison, is less than an inch long, has no husk, and grows on a multiplicity of stems. Teosinte is almost valueless as a food; one kernel of corn is more nutritious than a whole ear of teosinte.”

I’m almost positive now the answer is teosinte is a smaller less hardy version of corn…he literally says genetically there is no discernible kinship

“Digitalizing maps help” is incorrect; “Digitalizing maps helps” is correct. Digitalizing becomes a gerund and is singular.

@collegetalk11‌ That was EXACTLY my reasoning… I was told it was wrong though…

It literally says that genetically they are linked. In terms of chromosomes they are linked. But BEYOND that they are not. I’m interpreting that as in terms of physical characteristics they are not similar.

@collegetalk11 teosinte is definitely NOT a smaller less hardy variety of corn. That’s like saying apes are a dumber and less talented variety of human. Just like apes are not humans, teosinte is not corn. Nobody would look at teosinte and say “oh, this is just another type of corn…”

Wasn’t the Digitizing maps “helps” and not “help” because it was “helps to _____ and to _____”
Not really a grammar buff so correct me if I’m wrong…

My memory sucks, I know I figured out these two math problems but can’t quite recall if I put the answer that I intended to put on the answer sheet. Also, I left one blank and got one wrong already. I’ll have to see when the scores come and when I receive the QAS report.

I read that as digital maps for some reason rn. I can’t remember what I actually put.

That’s what I got

Hey guys,… i need help.

Im sure that I got 800 on math, bc i never got a single question wrong in math section for 2 years. and at least 740 on writing. but reading, after seeing u guys’ post, i think im fked.

i think i did well on the passages but screwed up on vocabs.

whats the total score gonna be if

800 + 700-770 + reading - 10-20…

and btw, for the ostrich question in writing, the ‘being’ was wrong… my sat teacher told me that it’s completely wrong. i forgot what he said, but he said being is wrong

No

@FrankensteinJP I sure hope you’re right about the “being”. I put “being” as wrong but everyone is saying no error :(

nah… being is definitely wrong. it sounds right, but grammatically incorrect. and usually if being is in the question, especially in finding error part, its wrong

so… anyone can help me for my post??

@FrankensteinJP‌ you do not know what you’re talking about bro, I’ve scored 800 in W multiple times being is grammatically correct…

I’m pretty sure it’s the genetic one. I mean, they have similar chromosomes.
