called an admissions counselor and she reiterated that they have all of my stuff, she said she would put a note in my file to try to expedite the decision since I have other offers I need to respond to.

Of course though, as our conversation was wrapping up my phone dropped the call. Now she probably thinks I hung up on her, fuuuuuuuu

@Lauren229 & enve520: Don’t feel bad. I also haven’t heard from CAS for pre-professional medicine. I feel as though the longer the wait, the greater the chance of rejection. :(

Seriously, the wait is a killer >:(
Oh, I also applied for CAS, but for neural science. There hasn’t been any science majors that have been accepted yet… or at least I haven’t seen any in this forum.

My transfer credits just posted but I don’t know if that means anything. Is there a good chance that I was accepted if my transfer credits were posted? Thanks!

That means you were accepted! There should be a link on the transfer credits page that says “Transfer Credit Information” and it’ll bring you to an admitted students page. My credits showed up on Saturday morning and I just got my acceptance email today. When my credits showed up I was able to signup for Tisch’s job board.

@agb2014 and spiffyspaceman

Congrats you guys! wow, it seems like a lot of decisions are coming out this week.

I got my acceptance email today too. I applied for film production at tisch.

Gpa: 3.66
ECs: lot’s of student films and an indie film that I interned on
SATs: didn’t send in as I never took them, I’m transferring as a junior

I’m pretty excited. I thought my GPA would hurt me, but I guess Tisch looks primarily at your supplementals that you send it.

Ugh still waiting. I got an email this morning asking for my Spring 2011 midterms grades when I thought it was a decision. The waiting continue :(.

Edit:

Congrats to everybody who got in! I hope I can meet all of you next year (really hoping).

Yeah, go check the transfer credits page. Right above the green bar that says “Course Credits” they’ll be a link that says “Transfer Credit Information”. Click on that and you’ll see. They wouldn’t go through the time to input what courses are going to transfer if they’re simply going to reject you.

@ultramilkwai

Don’t worry man, You’ll get in as well. We’ll all see you there next year for sure.

I just wanted to post my stats here because I felt like my application was very borderline, especially compared to the others here with 4.0GPAs getting rejected.

Accepted into nursing: (Btw, transfer credits DO NOT show up on albert for nursing students)

Just completed my first year of college.

HS GPA: Freshman: 2.6, Sophomore: 2.7, Junior: 3.1, Senior: 3.4,
College: Fall 2010: 3.58, Spring 2011: 4.0 (Spring grades not submitted)
I would think it is important to note that every time my grades have increased.

Essay: Wrote about how I studied abroad in Thailand and how culture is being destroyed by transportation. Made it clear I want to travel more, especially at NYU.
In the smaller essays I made it known that I already went to school in NYC and loved being there compared to my past suburban life.

ECs: Tons of art (painted murals, entered competitions, etc)
Co-founded a political club at my university
Worked at a place similar to starbucks for over a year
Tons of community service involving a lake I used to live near
A lot of other good things I’m not going to list

I DID NOT SUBMIT ANY SATS OR ACTS TRANSFERRING AS A COLLEGE FRESHMAN
