@WunNyne: I looked at the USC program, but I decided that I wanted to stay on the East Coast (I’m from Boston). I don’t actually know much about the UCLA program, but I’m sure it’s pretty good.

What I like about MCC is how broad it is. It’s not really just a Communication program, and you can focus on a particular area of interest. The USC program seems to be a general communications program, so I think you should base your decision on what your specific interest is. You can see all of the courses MCC offers, and if there is concentration that stands out to you, I would say NYU would be the way to go.

This might just be my bias, but I think NYC is better college environment as well. It’s expensive, but very easy to get around and there is a lot to do.

@thegreatperhaps: I don’t think that is The Towers. That’s not even the address. It’s located on 401 West 130th Street. The entire name of the place is called The Towers at The City College of New York. The link you provided is to the New York Towers, an apartment rental. The CCNY Towers are for academic housing.

im currently going to Orange Coast College in SoCAL

its my 2nd semester here and i have a cummulative GPA of 3.8, through a total of 20 units. prior to going to OCC i actually went to another community college system for 2 years and was put on academic probation and was forced to go to another community college. after some soul searching, i got my act together and now planning to transfer.

my first question is what are the requirements to transfer into NYU’s Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management

i would like to transfer into an undergraduate program for sports management, unfortunately there are no undergraduate programs in Cali for this major except at san jose state which is an after thought for me.

i plan on transferring by fall 2013.

my 2nd question is, does anyone know the transfer rate for NYU’s Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management.

if anyone has any other advice it would be greatly appreciated

@thegreatperhaps That is definitely not the right place. I live in The Towers but the CUNY dorms, not the Murray Hill apartments. I love living here, there are very few things that I dislike about these dorms and I highly recommend them to others who are looking to be in a dorm environment but who do not have the money to pay the ridiculous prices that NYU asks. I pay around the same price for a single room as NYU students pay to share with other people!

@kmgphoto Congrats! I am also going to Tisch for film and tv production this fall! What year are you in?

I just checked my Albert and my transfer credits showed up.
I’m also a Tisch Film Production applicant. I called and they wouldn’t tell me anything concrete, just that “it’s a good sign”
