If you could send me the essays too, I’d appreciate it.

PM for email. Cheers.

also does anyone know when you hear about financial aid?

@morgv1234 - nope, haven’t heard anything. They’re kind of a bit sluggish on getting information out.

I heard it was about 4 days after the decision.

This is getting ridiculous. How can they expect people to confirm enrollment and apply for housing by June 1 if people haven’t gotten decisions yet and won’t until the 23rd, THEN they have to wait 4 more days to hear about financial aid?! Great job this year, NYU…

I NEED HELP WITH HOUSING!! ;_;

Ok, so it’s looking like NYU’s housing is going to be expensive . I was wondering if anyone knew cheaper housing. Apparently my older brother who goes to Baruch did live in the Towers, and I really wouldn’t mind living there if it really is cheaper than NYU’s housing. I’m assuming that having roommates would make it cheaper (am I right to assume that…?) so please, if anyone is looking for a roommate, contact me.

From my financial aid thingy, I think I read that NYU housing is 7,500 per semester, so obviously anything cheaper than that would be great. Pleeeeeease, I could really use some help. The first time I ever spent time in NYC by myself was Halloween weekend last year (well, I wasn’t supposed to be by myself. I rented a room at a hostel for me and my gf…but, well…she broke up with me that weekend), so I know little to none about living there and even less about available housing.

Please PM me if you have any tips and/or are looking for a roommate. I’m pretty much accepting that NYU is gonna be my future home.

Please help a poor, lost soul =(

this thread has already been for people who got accepted but no longer for people who are still waiting for decisions…

Ok, so if you want to respond to my above post a little more personally, send me a PM…I’ll give you an email there.

I’m legitimately worried that NYU just isn’t going to give me a decision…I guess after 5 or 6 Tuesdays and Thursdays without anything you get a bit jaded. That and next next Monday is June 1st.

@oldwumpusale
I feel the same way. -sigh- NYU is my first choice, but I’m not sure when they’ll get back. I have to get back to the other schools soon. Why are you so sluggish NYU? I don’t mind paying full tuition. Accept meeee!

Was NYU’s transferring process this slow last year, too?

Hopefully this will be our week, MCC. ![]()
Come on, I made it through the apocalypse for this.

xpandachuy - Yeah, it took them this long last year, too. But don’t feel discouraged or anything–a lot of the people who were made to wait until the very last minute got accepted :)

I’m still waiting to hear back as well. I applied to Tisch for Dramatic Writing. They said transfer decision will be e-mailed on a rolling basis throughout the month of May, but I’m starting to get worried because this is like the last week…

@caligulashorse, really? That sounds somewhat relieving. :)

-sigh- But I’m just so anxious, since it’s almost June. I’m checking my email compulsively when I’m at home, and when I’m out I’m checking my cell phone for any new emails.

Come on NYU… seriously.

Ok, so I live in so cal and i think it would be nice to go out of state to college. How do you think NYU’s MCC program stacks up to USC’s Communication major and UCLA’s Communication Studies major? I’m into both and if i get into NYU for MCC i’m gonna have some tough decisions. Any advice or suggestions??? Thanks!

Haha welcome to the club WunNyne (choosing between USC and NYU sucks).

Anyway, I’m more than likely going to live at the CCNY Towers (from what I’ve gathered it’ll be cheaper than NYU’s housing), so I was wondering if anyone else on here was either looking for a roommate there or wanted to request rooms close together (kind of make a NYU-CC-CCNY Towers group, but I don’t know how feasible requesting rooms near each other is).

Please PM if interested (still not completely sure what I’m doing so I could use some help…haha)

Ah! See, I would love to begin searching and scouring around manhattan for a decent place to live, but the lovely people at NYU have yet to inform me of anything!!

I thought the Towers were about the same price… [The Towers | Capstone Company Campus | Rates](http://www.ccnytowers.com/rates/)
Well, the same price if you wanted a single occ. bedroom.

Well unless youre in the communication club… it’s not quite the same decision

where r these towers located? and from what i saw there only 1000 cheaper than NYU housing… unless you want to live alone at NYU… housing is pretty much the same 12-13,000 for the year… its when you want to live alone it becomes expensive.

Should I email NYU and tell them that a school has asked that I respond to them by the 27th? NYU is my first choice, but I don’t want to get shut out of this other school if NYU doesn’t work out.
