:/ I am very nervous. My application is still incomplete.
First, they never sent me my id and password and so I didn’t know about the application status online checking thing until early April. Then I checked with them.
They said they never received my college transcript and high school transcript.
So I scanned both of them then emailed to the admission guy. Then I mailed both of them together the next day.
after 2 weeks, only college transcript was listed received. so I checked with them again and they said they never received my hs transcript. so then I faxed it to them:/ it is almost may and I can’t believe I haven’t finished my application yet.
By this point, I feel like I will not get accepted at all

who is applying hotel and tourism management to SCPS

hello

i’ve been lurking on this thread for forever.
has anyone else had a problem lately checking their application statuses? i’ve been able to log into Albert and check my application status just fine up until a few days ago, at which point it stopped working. i’m still able to log into Albert but the application status page won’t load. neither will the transfer credit page. occasionally, it tells me i have been inactive for 20 minutes (even though i haven’t) and has me log in again. i do that but, still, i can’t see my status. i’m worried because last time i checked they hadn’t received my college or high school transcripts!

by the way, i’m applying for a transfer to tisch film & television program.

I came here to say the same thing funkyfreshhhh. Kind of annoying, but hopefully this means they’re starting up the welcome wagon (doubt it, though).

well, glad it’s not just me.
i e-mailed them about it anyway, though. i still don’t even know if my transcripts managed to get there. yikes.

@Kameow - I read the transfer thread from last year and apparently a lot of people discovered NYU lost their transcripts. NYU said “early to mid-May” for decisions last year, too, but there were people being accepted in late May. Although it’s nerve-wracking to learn they lost your transcripts, I don’t necessarily think it’ll jeopardize your chances of getting in. You’ll probably just hear back later than other people.

Interestingly, I applied to several other very large schools, and all but one managed to lose something from my application. I suppose that’s the downside of applying to places with lots of students. NYU has definitely been the least organized out of all of them, though…

A friend of mine (transfer last year) received it very late in May/nearly June.

However, I feel that the automated system will be a lot quicker? It’s easier/faster to send 6,000 emails than 6,000 letters…

^Is it an automated system? I thought decisions were on a rolling basis.

@Kameow Exactly the same situation here!!! I mailed them three times of my college transcript, but they still didn’t receive it. ugh…

In the application acknowledgement email:

giantmidget: thx I hope result do come by mid-May!
I apply for Hospitality and Tourism management Center~

I email the admission office today to ask if they truly have all my materials. I don’t want to lose the chance of going to NYU coz they don’t receive my application materials.
it was pretty sad thou NYU does not provide much update on how our application is processed. Other colleges do something like saying your application is complete or telling you your application is forward for review…
hope NYU can do something about it instead of letting us poor applicants wait and worried

@liaangg - They wouldn’t discard your application because it is incomplete. If you don’t get an email by them, you should assume that your application is complete.

@giantmidget

Hey man. Let us know when the good news arrive.

giantmidget: You sure? that really release me from worrying. becoz I dont really get updates from NYU

@MitchAPalooza - Will do. Hopefully it IS good news. =S

@liangg - That’s what they told me when I called. If you want to make sure, you should just call yourself. In any case, they will reply to your email, so you should find out soon enough.

giantmidget – did u get something from NYU why is mitchapalooza saying let us no when the good news arrives? im confused

@srivera617

No. I just read his essay thus I have a connection. Sounds stupid but I can place the essay to the username. I’m hoping he gets in and that’s why I said let us know when the good news arrives.

mitchapalooza — okayy sorry i didnt no. did u apply to NYU? or are u a student… u seem like you no ur stuff

giantmidget: thx~ I email them but they only shot a autoreply back to me.
I guess Ill just have to wait to them to contact me
