What are your stats?

Yeah, the wait is driving me nuts. As for my stats:

Sophomore – Marketing
35 credits at end of current semester, 4.0 GPA
3.05 UW HS GPA, 3.5 W (touched on this in my essays… hoping college GPA and test scores can make up for it)
2280 SAT, 33 ACT
Handful of regional, state and national DECA competition awards, some other business related ECs; also have had a ~25 hr/wk part-time job for the last 2 years
I had my English prof who I had a really good relationship write my letter of rec. and it was quite a good letter, well-written and very glowing

I’m very nervous, especially with how competitive Stern is; I am deathly afraid my HS gpa will ruin me :(

i haven’t heard yet from steinhardt and it is killing me… what are the stats of those who applied to steinhardt? and for what program? also- has anyone found transfer credits on albert that ARE applying to Steinhardt? last question, i swear, was anyone nominated for the CCTOP scholarship??

sorry a bit overwhelming please reply!

For Steinhardt applicants -

I believe a few people have heard back from Steinhardt but mostly those who have applied to MCC, I’ve talked with one of my directors who seemed very hopeful for my Music Business results and has been optimistic about my admissions decision, so I’m assuming anything to do with separate audition packages will take a bit longer. We should either hear back for sure through e-mail next week, hopefully no later than the week after that.

lord jim, what branch of tisch are you applying for? i’m a tisch hopeful as well. dramatic writing…

i applied to steinhardt MCC… and havent heard anything!!! HAS ANYONE HEARD BACK FROM THIS SCHOOL AND MAJOR?! Please list your stats! thank you xoxo good luck!

I am in the same boat as all of you. I am patiently waiting for a response from Stern.

I applied to CAS for neuroscience and I haven’t heard anything yet :(

@desertfever - Well, your college stats are very, very good. If you don’t get in this year, you could always apply for next year as a junior, where your HS stats will be waited a lot less.

@marcmeezy - Stats? And sophomore entry or junior?

For those whose Albert account says NOTHING AT ALL about documents (literally NOTHING, they don’t even show an “incomplete” or anything.): I called NYU today and the counselor of admission said everything is fine. So if this is the case for you, do not fret.

on page 15 of this thread… someone mentioned that a university id is given to everyone… and a net id is given to those applicants who have been accepted… that doesn’t seem right, does it?

@ladida28
no… i dont think so… cuz net id is given right away in the beginning of april… so… that wont be the case…

^That was the case last year, but it seems that from this year NYU has revised its policy and given NetId’s to all applicants.

omg so lame!

anyone else’s Albert- shows all of their items check marked?

@okletsdoit555

I’m applying for film production. Let’s hope for news after the 1st!

@lord jim

i did not – i applied as a fall transfer.

ach! was i supposed to apply as a summer transfer?

Hi I have been following this thread for a while…

Anyone else apply to the Global Liberal Studies program? If so what are your stats?
I am hoping to transfer as a sophomore…I hope we hear back soon, this wait is killing me!

after being stonewalled by “student ambassadors” twice I finally got to speak with an admissions counselor today. No they did not have the high school transcript. And no, my son never got an email advising him that anything was missing. Not in his NYU email, not in his personal email, not in his spam email.

to anyone with items not checked off, call admissions and when you get the student ambassador tell him or her that unless they can definitively confirm the status of your application you need an admissions counselor.

I think alot of the wait now has to do with that fact that incoming freshman have to send their deposits by May 1st. NYU doesn’t know how many transfers they have room for until Monday May 2nd.

Someone also posted a question about acceptance rates for transfers. I read somewhere that they get roughly 3K+ every year and accept about 1/3.
