Has anyone heard from the school of nursing who applied after the priority date (i.e. between March 1 and April 1)?

@oldwumpusale - I applied on the 29th of March

@kayf - Three weeks from May 3rd for me. Yes, they told me what classes would transfer, but not for the current semester yet. I figure I’ll talk to them about how to set up my schedule so that I graduate either on time or very close to it. But eh… who knows…

@coolio(random numbers) The FAFSA for NY says it is due the June 30th… So, I figure we both have time to do it still.

@ brickbybrick

No, I’m still waiting as well.

Tomorrow is going to be the day. I can feel it.

I’m transferring from Fordham too. What year are you?

@rosebudiasppoint - why r u transferring from fordham… what campus LC or RH

@moxiemaya
We’re kind of in the same situation. My first priority is getting into NYU. Taking a few extra classes wouldn’t be that bad. I’ve already had well above the minimum language requirement at my current university. And, I wanted to take summer classes so that I’m where I want to be instead of slightly behind.

@kayf

I’m not sure about ConWest (Texts & Cultures now). Honestly, I’ve looked at the MAP requirements as a whole rather than by single courses. That’s one of the more important/custom NYU classes, comparable to a synthesis at my school.

Again, I’m looking at it from my program’s point of view.
[MAP (Liberal Arts Core) - Undergraduate - Media, Culture, and Communication - NYU Steinhardt](<a href=“Liberal Arts Core | NYU Steinhardt”>Liberal Arts Core | NYU Steinhardt)
The above page clearly states that I need two semesters not two years. My current university and a few others that I know about have the same length requirement for language, I believe it’s the standard.
And, Steinhardt’s site says that if a transfer student has taken the equivalent writing courses at his current university he should get credit but they would like the student to take the writing the essay proficiency exam to determine whether or not the student shall still have to take WTE courses or if that requirement has been adequately completed.

See, I’ll only have sixty credits completed by the end of this semester. You have a bit more under your belt. It would be two years for me anyway, and I wouldn’t mind taking summer courses along the way.

Desi, you appear correct, I am applying to CAS.

I understand with CAS, once you are accepted as a transfer you can not take courses at any other school. So summer school has to be NYU. I could go this summer, but time is running out.

Hi Everyone!

I got my acceptable package via mail on Monday (May 2nd), and the date on the acceptance letter was April 27th. I applied to the CAS with a concentration in political science.
I just wanted to keep everyone updated and to let you know that you should be hearing soon!

Hey Skiglp,

Did you get an email confirming your acceptance or was it just mail?

I never received an email, only an envelope in the mail.

@spiffyspaceman: She just said in general, we would hear by then but I dont know what to believe anymore, lol.

@ahagirl1012: I know, they keep saying the same thing, I just want this transfer process to be over with at this point, lol.

@benellis @desimundha7: The counselor I spoke to told me MCC was really competitive and thats why it takes a while for the decisions to be made, go figure!
I thought it would be relatively less competitive than other programs (as you said, Stern and Tisch), I guess I was wrong. Good luck!

So update! The whole issue with my application was that they were missing my college transcripts. So Monday I sent out my unofficial transcripts from the political science dept office. Thinking sending unofficial transcripts would be a problem, it wasn’t and now on my application status on the Albert login I have everything checked off. Do you think I should be hearing soon?

For anyone/ everyone to answer: so far, what percentage of applicants do you think have found out about their admissions? (I don’t think anyone outside of CAS has heard back yet, but as a generality for all of NYU undergrad transfers.)

I finally got a mail saying that my application is complete after sending countless mails…

hope you guys’ app is complete soon…

@skiglp12161216

mind posting your stats?

@Marrs85, did you receive that notification through email?

knew son’s h.s. transcript was signed for yesterday around 4 PM. called admissions just now and spoke with a woman named “Kenny” who verified that it was there.

it’s probably a little late to mention this, but those of you who are still calling to verify materials received it’s a good idea to always make sure you get the name of the person you speak with.

now if I don’t see it checked off in a day or two I can call back and ask directly for her.

Just thought I’d mention it because I see posts (including mine) where it’s mentioned that the writer spoke to a woman but doesn’t mention their name.

reneyney14

yes I got email and then I checked Albert. it looked good

I wonder if acceptances are being mailed out based on intended major within CAS…
