<p>UGH! This is why I hate going to school on Long Island! I was under the impression that “25 minutes away from NYC!!!” was actually close… it’s not. It takes about 2 hours for me to get to the city from my school because I have to take a bus to the train station, wait for the train, take the train (which takes at least 40 minutes, not 25), and then finally arrive at Penn. My friends back home are always like “oh it must be nice living there, you get to go party in the city all the time!”
But I don’t… because it’s far away and a huge hassle and kind of expensive if you go often… especially since the prices just increased again.
I really hope I get in so I can actually ENJOY New York City!</p>
<p>@Buegie –> Go to zoo. It is worth it. I saw Armin there and I saw him for free on gov’s island. Best show ever there. He played rain and it rain. Fantastic 4-hour late summer show. Armin is absolutely fantastic. So is Above & Beyond… I got to meet them at Zoo. AMAZING. Though, it is a total open drug fest at zoo. Like bamboozle but with trance/prog. house instead</p>

<p>@moxie – My friend lives in staten island and it is the same for him. He is so close, but a ferry ride and couple subway lines later, it is an hour+ to get places.</p>

<p>@Lauren Yeah… being away from the city really sucks. Transportation is getting ridiculously expensive.</p>
<p>Sigh… part of me hopes that decisions come out soon so I don’t have to wait any longer, but part of me doesn’t want to see it until after I’m finished with finals. I don’t want to get rejected and then be upset and do terribly on my finals! Oh well… I guess I just want to get it over with as soon as possible!</p>

<p>I did. I received my acceptance yesterday for the nursing program. Had a 3.67 gpa. Im a sophmore from Hunter College. Also mentioned I was a Hunter scholar, and in the preceptor program in Hunter. My application wasn’t anything special… I’m ecstatic that I got in :)</p>
<p>xlauren8Dx, I literally have the exact same gpa as you and applied to the nursing program as well! I am coming from a community college though, but I have strong extracurriculars with leadership positions and honors program. Congrats on your acceptance! When did you submit your application?</p>
<p>Where are you guys seeing which things are missing or not in your app? My Application Status page just has my term, program, academic plan, admit type, notification plan, and application date on it. No mention of what else they may have received.

<p>Err, is anyone told about the need of certificate of high school graduation?
When I asked them was anything missing since I did not get the confirmation email, I was told my certificate of hs graudtion was missing…I thought it wasn’t a required document? And when I spent $50 and fedexed it to them, which showed delivered, they still claimed they hadn’t not received it…I really don’t know what is going on! Is the application considered incomplete without it? Do they not view my application until they receive it?</p>
