Momtomatt: thank you for the info, and congratulations to you and your son. Be a proud Mama!

@tomokoshino - he got the email early, around 8:30 EST. They send them out until 5:00 EST is what the admissions guy told my son.

I have to wait until Tuesday? UGGGHH

SAME HERE!! Okay… so they told me on monday that they had everything, and it’s completed… and today!! i got an email telling they got everything, but they need a certificate from my high school… R U KIDDING ME!! my diploma!!! I transfer as a junior… and now u want my HS diploma?? isnt is funny?? if I didint graduate from high school… how could I get into my current school??? oh gosh… but btw… i’m an international student too… maybe that’s the reason??

Whoa! A lot has happened in the last few days. I can’t believe so many people were rejected. I’m really sorry, especially for my bud football462.

I still haven’t heard anything back yet, but the standardized test scores box is still unchecked on Albert. I sent those scores weeks ago, and they were sent electronically. I’ve called about my application in the past, but they only checked to see if they had received transcripts. I’m worried they don’t have my test scores (though I find it hard to believe they could lose electronically sent scores), so I might call tomorrow.

I’ve seen some people get accepted on M/W/F but then again the office doesn’t seem to be able to give a consistent answer on anything…Im not expecting to hear until the 15th since it appears I have the latest date for downloading (4/8)

@tangyj I am an international student too! But they did not ask for the certificate (hopefully they won’t). My high school did not even follow the american system, and so it’s completely different. If they asked for a certificate, I won’t even know what to give them.

it’s weird that no one got accepted by Stern… but some people got rejected by Stern first?? are they sending out rejection first?? thats so weird…

@Giantmidget: I am on the same boat as you. I received a midterm report request a few days ago. Hopefully everything goes well. I wish the best for you, and the rest of you all!

@tomokoshino: I’m sorry i didn’t respond any sooner. I downloaded the common app midterm report went on a hunt for all my professors and just asked them for an estimate of my grade. After, I express mailed it to the associate director of undergraduate admission.

I’m so sorry to all of you who got rejected. You all deserve to get in!

A lot of you Who received an email about an incomplete application are saying that after taking care of the issue you received an email sayin your application was complete. Monday I received the incomplete email, and after sending what was needed everything was checked off but I haunt received the complete email. Should I be trippin’ ?

How do you know when NYU downloaded your application?

from commonapp

Hey they sent out the NYU admissions decision today!

@tomokoshino
well, my friend told me that they didnt require midterm report last year tho. i think nyu transfer admission is really messed up this yr…![]()
yea im in a suny school n cant wait to get the hell out of there
hope u can get into nyu><
i called admission office yesterday again n they told me they just started reviewing process n going to release the decisions at the end of this month(wats wrong with them!)

@kevin6192

See, the problem is finals week JUST started. And I think it would be really difficult to have all of my professors fill it out, considering 2 out of 5 of the classes I am taking have had changes in instructors over the semester…(it’s a total mess -__-). but I guess I will still have to try. I hope that page I mailed out earlier is still acceptable.

@aquamarine831 the end of this month?! no wayyy thats wayyyyyy too late.
I am in uiuc right now, and I hate it here. I really want to leave.

@tangyj
i think probably coz of the HS transcript didnt show the graduation date?
well i emailed them a copy of my diploma n an official english version of it.
i keep calling them to make sure they have recieved my diploma, n i have to say their officers r kinda rude n extremely inefficient

Well they already started mailing out decisions, obviously. I think it’s safe to say most people will hear back from NYU by the end of next week.

Not CommonApp, it’s on your NYU net—ID Albert page. There’s a date dl’ed tab that seems to be how the admissions committee is responding. It’s NOT based on how competitive you are…download date, credits, major program and housing considerations seem to be the determinants.

@aquamarine831
yea… i guess that might be the reason… i’m gonna email and fax them tmr… thats so stupid anyways… rawrrr… but that wont affect anything about our chances i think…
