Official NYU 2011 Transfer Thread

@WunNyne

I know, I just lost my hope after reading todays postings with regard to rejection mails… hopefully we all get accepted!

I have 78 credits… I MUST transfer! lol

I got my acceptance package in the mail on Monday so I don’t think that the Tuesday/Thursday thing is true. Has anyone else received their acceptances via mail?

@skiglp12161216

I think that was for e-mails only. I’ve been looking through the thread and it seems that they everyone got their letters on either a Tuesday or a Thursday, so it must be true.

Yeah, I don’t think it means anything. I mean, isn’t the time you received things by snail mail irrelevant? It takes any number of days to get from NYU to your house, after all.

Mhm. Exactly what I thought.

At least I now know to look for a letter on Tuesday and not to bother otherwise. Good thing is, my last final is on Tuesday as well. =D

well MAYBE they mailed out some acceptance letters or something yesterday, so people will be getting them in the mail. why do they do letters and emails!? grrr

so we are not getting any mails today at all?

@KingSundru – Yes!! Haha

I really just want know what the verdict is though – good or bad – simply because I have to figure out what I am doing elsewhere and unfortunately, if I go anywhere else, I am not going to live on-campus and looking around right now has been a crapshoot.

So, obviously, like everyone else, I am looking for good, no great, news! C’mon NYU…

wow thread is dead today so i am guessing so acceptances or rejections

not bad then again not good either

Can we safely assume that the Tuesday/Thursday thing is correct?

Spoke to an admissions personnel today in the morning, said majority of decisions will most likely be sent out at the ending of the month! -____________-

Screw that if I have to wait another 3 weeks. The website said the beginning to mid may.

Seriously! I have other schools to confirm with too… I’m not even playing around no more, I need that damn decision!

this is funny… i dont even wanna wait… it makes me sick…

if I have to wait three weeks! I will honestly…it’s not like they are going to accept all of us so just hurry up and stop playing hard to get

What gets me more is that they asked for my college transcripts today AGAIN… Mind you this is the third time! ***!

My bad, I mean more mad

Regarding decision dates:
I’m guessing that TR are when they have the large pushes of decisions electronically released, they have time before and after the day to prepare/solve problems. That odesn’t mean that decisions will ONLY be released on those days. We’ve seen that. And, as far as snail mail goes, they should be releasing electronic decisions first and acceptance packages should arrive on whichever day they do–NYU doesn’t really regulate when it’s arrive to your home.

Regarding notification timeframe:
The office would, logically, tell everyone to expect their decision in late May instead of early May (the same happened with me). Otherwise, every candidate would expect their decision soon. They guaranteed that the decisions would be released by the end of May, we can hope for something earlier but shouldn’t really expect to get our decisions by 1 May. The office is likely stressed because of the quantity of applications.

That said, I want to know whether or not I’ve gotten into NYU! I can’t plan my summer/summer classes/etc until I know where I’m going to spend the next two years of my life.
