Come again? I have no knowledge as to what my credits were - I was only notified today via my father…he would have the letter.

Haha no on your Albert does it have your transfer credits listed? No worries brother.

Ahh, I’m once again out of the loop ahah. It does not.

On another note, did I read correctly that the acceptance rate for CAS is 10-15% for transfers? Shoot, that’s a lot more competitive than I thought.

@durkadurka123 –> I’ve never heard anything about each school’s acceptance rate, only the overall rate of about 33%

my transfer credits just showed up on albert…i hope this means good new…so nervous haha

@alexxxx

Which school did you apply to?

cas for psychology

From the CAS website - “Competition for transfer admission is significant. Our admit rate for transfer applicants is typically between 10 and 15%.”

However, I think it’s just 15% who actually go to NYU, as it says ADMIT rate, not acceptance rate.

@alexxxx

Oh okay. Is CAS the only school that’s being so quick with decisions?

Come on, Stern!

@giantmidget

Good call, though I do know that CAS is indeed the toughest of the schools to get into (as a transfer.) Good luck to you.

that just makes me more nervous ha

@durkadurka

Is it? I thought that Stern was the toughest.

@giantmidget @durkadurka

I definitely think Stern & Tisch are much harder to transfer into than CAS. Particularly Stern, they have very strict rules.
However, CAS has the majority of the non-niche majors. If you’re going into business=Stern & arts = Tisch. Yes, there are a few other schools but the majority of the other majors fall into CAS. So, in that sense more people apply to one school for a huge pool of majors.
Still, business is a widely popular field to go into and Stern is one of the best in the nation, it is highly competitive.

Hahaha yea definitely stern is the toughest but I think durka meant other schools that are not impossible to get into :p

@giantmidget

I believe Stern is the toughest to get into for undergraduate admissions, with CAS being harder for transfers. I could be mistaken, though.

@ahagirl1012, yes. I’m glad someone can effectively say what I mean haha.

Congrats durka.

See, it’s weird, because my stats are pretty comparable to yours, so that gives me hope. But when the person before posted having a 4.0 after 3 semesters (with the same HS gpa as durka), it was depressing.

So weird.

@coolio - Thanks, I wasn’t expecting it at all. That being said, I got waitlisted by a school which is arguably less prestigious than NYU…it’s a crapshoot. Best of luck.

I just checked Albert and everything is checked off, no transfer credits recorded though. I’m a little terrified.

Oh NYU,

If you could just hurry up and make your decision about my acceptance, I would be so happy. If you accept me, I’ll be so thrilled that I’ll pay my tuition and everything! So, please, please accept me soon… Or at least let me down sooner rather than later.

Thank you.

XO,

Lauren
