Volunteer/Community service: Developed a mission trip where I started educating Peruvian children on personal hygiene, then science. Sustainability comes from me continuing to recruit young kids to develop their own lessons in Spanish, and the downtown Madison Rotary International has offered to continue to chaperone., volunteer for the local homeless shelter the first Tuesday of every month for 4 years, YMCA and Breast Cancer Recovery volunteer all 4 years for various events, raised around $4,000 for Breast Cancer Recovery in fundraiser
Summer Activities: Peru mission trip the last two summers, working, and I think I made a big deal out of spending time with my family at our cottage up north
Essays: spent a lot of time on common app and everyone that read it said that it was me on paper. advice: start early on and try to get across how you function, rather than talk about the accomplishments that they can read on your resume. other essays were written in the same style…have fun with them; I was quite sassy in some of mine
