I am probably getting excited for no reason or NYU is hoping we all go crazy noticing these seemingly trivial changes on the weekend. Someone did say the bulk of decisions (for CAS I think) would be released the second week of May (next week) so maybe they are making changes to accounts in preparation for that.
@princesskitten yeah, there have been some changes to my application status this week, too, so we’ll probably get the decision this thursday…
Question - this housing thing that you guys are talking about, is it a tab located at the bottom left of the NYUHome page when you login that is titled “Off Campus Housing” and says “Click below to search the Off-Campus Housing Office’s database of available housing opportunities” with a “Housing registry” link?
@dlpam21 nope it’s supposed to be on the albert page and directs you to a place for you to submit your housing deposit
@princesskitten and fellow sufferers: sorry I didn’t leave many details! So, when I would first sign into Albert, It would automatically put me on the Applicants tab, where I could monitor my application status. Now, it automatically puts me on the student’s tab where the first choice is the Housing Payment link. Clicking on that link takes me to the Bursar’s Esuite page to view my account, but I’m waiting to click the consent for the 1098-T form until I know for sure so I don’t mess anything up (Seriously not about that life). If I go to the NYU Home page, at the bottom on the right hand side, I have the Housing and Meal plan forms link which takes me to the Housing application. When I first saw the Application a couple weeks ago, I had Summer in NYC (non-renewable). After clicking to start the application, and going back to the home screen, Fall opened up (Non-renewable). I called Housing, and they said it was a fluke (I was the one who posted about the NYU home link). I looked yesterday (because, I mean lets be honest, am I right?), and the screen now shows Summer in NYC (Transfer Undergraduate) and Summer in Washington D.C (Transfer Undergraduate). Fall still said Non-renewable (which to me makes a bit of sense sense because of Tisch Film and TV) I clicked the Summer in NYC application link, and stayed on the first page. When I went back to the home screen, I saw that Fall had changed to Transfer Undergraduate. It changed Friday during the day sometime, but I didn’t really think about it, until late at night. I did some snooping and came up with some positives, and negatives. I can access the registration list, but can’t register (makes sense, bc you need an advisor to clear you…and ya know…gotta accept the acceptance). On the Applicants tab on Albert, when I click the Financial Aid summary, it gives me a choice for 2015-2016, but it says that there is nothing to report (again makes sense because I haven’t accepted acceptance yet) it didn’t do that before. It used to say ‘you have no financial aid’ or something like that. Things like this are extremely curious, but my wife and I are trying not to get too excited because it could just be a general system update. Hope this helps!

@tywalker90 Thank you for the explanation! Well I tried clicking on summer housing then going back to the homepage (lol) and mine still says “non-renewable undergraduate.” My financial aid still says “no award accessible” or whatever and there is no year option. I think the changes you see are a good sign dude.
@tywalker90 I have all the exact same changes, and I also applied for film. I hope it’s a good sign for the sake of my sanity.

If there was a selection for fall 2015 meal plan then I would be excited.
