Official NYU RD Roster 2010

wow whoever brought up UCSB<NYU topic did not expect his
it has not only turned out to be a UCSB<NYU discussion but a UCSB<UCLA, UCB, UCD, and etc…

in general, i’m from california as well and i just want to say that i’ve just realized that from region to region we tend to judge the different UC’s differently.

For example, I’m from Los Angeles and I differ from both of you from San Franc because my thoughts are

UCB
UCLA
UCSD
UCD
UCSB
UCI
UCSC
UCR

because UCSD here is regarded highly

and sorry for adding to this.

and although UCs are interesting talk about, NYU is a much much more interesting school

Haha, one of your rivals, Lowell High :)

can we please go back to the original topic of NYU Rd roster.

seriously; here are my stats:

SAT: 2400
SAT II: 800/800/800
GPA: 4.0 UW
Lots of ECs with actual time spent on them.
Applying to Stern, Indian male from TN

Megalomaniac, are you effing kidding me??? 2400? 4.0 uw??? You better be playing…I’ll search all of Memphis to kidnap you and prevent you from applying to NYU.

SAT: 2110
SAT II: writing: 770, us history 700, bio E 670, lit 720
GPA: 4.0 (total)
yearbook assnt. editor (two years), jazz band, etc etc etc
tisch (dramatic writing) hispanic female, CA

I heard NYU is trying to get more Californians …

Where did you hear that Vagrant? I’m at NYU right now, and I can tell you there is no shortage of Californians here. If anything, Californians are probably overrresented here.

really? A guest speaker from NYU came to my school thats where I heard it… maybe not then

That’s very odd. I know plenty of people from both SF and LA. After NJ & NY, CA is the most popular home state here. Other heavily represented states at NYU are Connecticut (my great state), Penn, Mass, and Texas.

Chart of the home states of NYU’s freshmen class:
<a href=“Undergraduate Admissions”>Undergraduate Admissions;

well, if youre a CA citizen, then obviously theyre “tricking” you into applying

actually, i hope not, since im a CA resident too!!~

Abirch,
maybe they’re trying to cut down on all the eastern snobby ppl…
(just a guess)

SAT: 2210
SAT II: 770/690/670
GPA: 4.67
great ECs
creative essay/short answer
Applying to STERN, asian female from TX

Smilies06, what city in Texas are you from?

do they recruit a lot from ohio? I looked at the map, but it doesn’t really mean anything to me.

I think I am probably the only one with this kind of stat living in Shanghai.
I am 100% many Koreans do much better in me their SATs 2200+.
It also seems that every1 one this site is crazy…
4.0 GPAs and 2300 SATs…
Is it just me or people exaggerating their addmission stats?

What type of Koreans are you talking about? Not many Koreans have SATs over 1900 at best. Korean Americans, however, do have stats over 2200. I’m sure that’s what you were referring to. I doubt the people on this site are exaggerating their stats. Only anal people like me who’re really desperate to get into the college of their top choice care to visit CC. In short, CCers are abnormal. Your stats are great compared to the rest of the nation.

hh2online-I have no idea about how much they recruit from Ohio but I know that I’m from Ohio and I did ed and got in.

The 89 from GA is surprising.

im applying reg. tho. :frowning: i should have done ed. dont know why i didnt :(
