How did you guys think you did?

Pretty well. Thought the math was pretty easy…only guessed on the one that had all the x,y,z,and t expressions equal to 5…should have been able to get that.

do you guys put wry disapproval or rueful confession for the gardening passage? I thought that was the hardest one, W and M were easy

To all you idiots who put “49” on question 16: 99 adults 1 children, how many adults leave. YOUR WRONG. It is 50. Taking out 49 means it is 1/51 which is NOT 2%.

I put rueful confession. That one where you had to find x-t i found difficult as well.

overall i think i did amazing on math (72-80), pretty good on writing (65-75), and so-so on reading (62-73).

ok, ty! for x-t i got 15, just a lot of substitution

yeah I did the one about adults leaving wrong. oh well it just counts as a skip. and I said wry disapproval

so, 1 wrong and 1skip in math (counting the grid in error as a skip since you’re not penalized for it) should be ~75
Guessing ~75-80 for CR and ~70 on W

i think i did really well on math and writing, and kinda bad on cr… not surprising this is usual for my SAT stuff

what was the answer to “dark” question on cr

No the answer is 50. The reason why is that ur getting urself mixed up. 1/50 is the # of kids out of total number of peoople, which is 1/50. Therefore, adults is 49/50. So adults had to have 49. 99-50 = 49, so 50 is the answer

the dark question? I think i said morbid instead of ominous or idk which one

yea i realized that after i posted that the answer was 49. I put morbid too but i dont think its the answer

I put ominous but not really sure either… haha
What was the one where the average had to equal the median?

READING WAS SO ■■■■■■■■… i think did really good on math and writing though

M: 75-80
W: 70-75
CR: 50-65 (aiming low… i didnt know what i was doing… but i think i did good on vocab)
please dont jinx me God

i put ominous because it means unfavorable. morbid relates to death and thats too extreme.
i also put 50 at the last minute… luckily i had time to check it

btw… when do get our scores back??

i think they said late december/early january
(…it shouldn’t take that long to scan our answer sheets.)

i put ominous as well, didnt think it really fit but others were way off

Wait…I put wistful nostalgia for the concluding sentence of the gardening passage. The lines went something like, “And with that, gardening ceased to exist in American literature.” The author, who is a strong proponent of gardening, feels that the activity has been neglected throughout American history. The tone is wistful and nostalgic, since it is characterized by strong melancholy and a yearning for the time when gardening was acknowledged.

‘Wry disapproval’ doesn’t fit, since ‘wry’ would denote a sardonic tone. Also, the lines don’t indicate any disapproval–they only state the end of gardening in a dejected way.

‘Rueful confession’ is definitely not the correct answer. There is no proof whatsoever that the author is making a confession.

wwowwoowowooow thats so long

So am I right? :D

oh sorry i was referring to 1ap… but i put wistful nostalgia! guessing is my forte
