OFFICIAL October 8, 2005 SAT I Forum

thx u sir lol- any other hard math questois ppl remember?

predict your grade on the october 8th sat1

heres mine

800 M, 720 CR, 740 W- 2260

Yea, that folded cone one, and the cubed root of x squared minus y squared =a and x-y=4a, evaluate the square root of x-y in terms of a, it could have been in the experimental section though.

oh!

did everyone have the sections with a lot of exponents? i think that maybe have been my experimental?

wow…last time i logged there were only 16 pages
but now there are 38

but can someone PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY i see the SAME THING discussed OVER and OVER again?

after 5 pages of the same discussion, it leads to ESTABLISHING an answer
then all of a sudden on the very next page someone else asks the same question and the whole process starts again

BEFORE YOU ASK ANY OF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
FIRE TRUCK (IT WAS 6 and IT WAS A SQUARE) ROAR YES it IS NOT an EXPERIMENTAL SECTION
THE ANSWER THAT HAD 70/3
X = 3.5 or 3.4 , 3.3 etc NOT 9.5

PLEASE go look at the previous posts since you WILL find like 500 gazillion posts on them.

thank you

i have no idea, my best guess is my psat score times ten, so 2360. At least thats what i’m hoping for.

are there different questions on the different versions of the tests given in different areas, because i dont remember some of these…

anyone rememeber the marie curie one?
the writing one
i thought the answer was “had been” but… no error could also be right

I think there are different versions given in different regions.

Experimental sections should not be “harder” than any of the real sections on the SAT. They are sections from old tests or such used to judge/compare the difficulty of the current one.

hey blue i put the “had been” one as the error i thought it shud became or was but had been is different tense than past

In the Critical Reading, does anyone remember the context of the question where one of the answers was “vain?”

I second zanguzen’s statement.

Can somebody please just tell me if they had the question where you had to find the volume of a cone that was made from a folded piece of paper? If any of you didn’t have that question, does that mean that it was an experimental section?

lmao i already said i didnt have it so it was most likely experimental

well…not any…but all i know is that i surely didn’t have that question on any of my math sections

Yes, the Marie Curie error was “had been”. It should have been “became.”

Predict/hoping to score: 800M, 800 W, 750 CR

argh… that math firetruck question annoys me… i cant believe i put circle…
i hope thats the only one i missed =</p>

anyways… i hope to get a 2200+

for marie curie, wasn’t the error “most biologists”

basically it was saying her theories differ in terms of…from most biologists

it should be changed from “most biologists” to “the theories of most biolgists”

Ha, sorry I didn’t see anybody respond to that before. Thanks.
