Yah I put the characters home…social context answer too…

The answer to that acting passage question was something like essence or identity of the character. Social context doesn’t really make much sense.

what was the question?..

i jus remember trying to pick between social context and some other answer w/ the word ‘psychological’ in it…and that def. didnt make sense…so…

for the acting question, was one of the answers something like “she evaulated and reconsidered conventional methods of teaching”

for some reason, neither i, nor any of my friends whom i consider fairly intelligent cud get that question about one side of a trianlge is 7 and one side is 10, whats the greatest area?

doesnt the third side rule state that the next side has to be less than 17? and also, dont tell me its 35, cuz its not. that wud be assuming that its a right triangle and 7 and 10 are the bases and hieghts. (1/2 x 7 x 10 = 35) the triangle can be bigger than that, cuz that assumes there’s a 90 degree angle. it can go as high as almost a 180 degree angle, that wud be when the third side is nearly 17. does anyone know the asnwer?

rishtanna, I think I put that down as an answer. It was like “doubting traditional methods” or something… yeah… hopefully crosses fingers

yea i put that rishtanna.

cool cool, i’m pretty sure that was right. i’m just hoping for damage control for that passage. the passage was easy to understand but some of the multiple choice answers were hard to distinguish between.

umm I think I got 70 for that one…since i dunno it seemed too easy for the area to be just multiplying .5 x 10 x 7

but i dunno i could be wrong…

paulkg, I think if the largest angle gets closer and closer to 180 degrees, the triangle’s area will shrink (since it’s getting closer and closer to just a line).

The formula of the area of a triangle is A = 0.5bh

If you’re finding the maximum area, and you have 2 sides (7,10), then the largest possible way is for both of those values to be either the base or height.

yeah, I put 35 also. I tried finding the area of with a side of 17 just in case, but there were no answer choices that matched.

Does anyone have any idea which CR section was experimental? And do you guys think that there will be a generous math curve? What if you like omitted 6 and got 2 wrong… would your score be in the high 600s?

what other choices were tehre for the social context question?

well 70 couldnt work because 10 x 7 = area of a rectangle. so the next highest is 35. and plus the area of a right triangle is the greatest i think

how much is 4 omit and 0 wrong for writing with 10 essay? like approximate scaled score. (my proctor ended my section 2 minutes early and i just want to know where i start with those questions that i didnt get to read)

damn it ur right, o well, i ommitted that one anyway. thats the only thing i know of that i didnt get right. thanks tho.

ahhh …sorry to hear about the proctor situation!

Did everyone get the 70^6 - 70^4 in the computer problem?

no, that must have been experimental
