OFFICIAL October 8, 2005 SAT I Forum

i hated the damn firetruck questions…grrr…if i omitted about 7-10 questions overall could i still get a 640? oh god…probably not…

GeorgeS it depends. I took the new SAT way back in March when it first came out and I got 1 math problem wrong –> 790.

By the way, I think everyone should try to chillax a little because the SAT is over. If you want to worry, worry before the test and channel that power into your studying. Hindsight is 20/20 my friends.

I also heard this rumor that discussing SAT questions after the test shortens one’s average lifespan by 10 years. :D

lalala88. It depends if you got all of the other questions right.

DOES ANYONE REMEMBER/KNOW the Jesse Jackson QUESTION???

TY.

Exactly…start To Worry About Nov Test Or Ur School And APP....NOT THIS TEST WHICH IS OVER...

munkiegurl, the answer to that Cecile question was that she would start living her life passionately as she does with music now.

What do you think is the highest possible math score with 2 wrong on Oct 8

I know I got 1 wrong and felt confident about the rest but im going to expect 2 or more so my hopes don’t get dashed

^ Wow…exactly where I am right now…

let us hope for the best :)

I cant even wait to worry about this test…i have physics math2c and history tests coming up in November :P

Good. Take your mind off the abomination that was the October SAT (well at least the reading part).

When you guys predict your scores, how often will they be accurate? I mean I find it pointless because I never think I’ll get any wrongs on the math, just like this time because all the answers posted were the ones that I put down, but I still know for sure I didnt get 800 because I probably did something stupid along the way. It’s so common for me to make stupid mistakes even if I get the hard ones right… I still find SAT scores unpredictable due to my dumb mistakes. Is this particularly true to anyone else? I feel like a loser because I know I’ll never get 800 on math due to my carelessness.

I took the test on sunday and noticed something strange about the number of questions in the cr section. The first CR section had 24, then the second had 25, and the last one had 18. In the new CB SAT book it was, 24, 24, and 19. I originally thought it was an experimental section and then realized it was not when my test ended up with 3 writting mc sections. Did you Sat testers notice this on your test as well? Does anybody know why this change was made?

green_apple I know exactly how you feel. Like me this time on the writing MC. I don’t know if I specifically did anything wrong, but I know that I didn’t get every question right because of a careless mistake. Hopefully I only got 1 wrong on the math (I know which one it is), but who knows?

i think this thread had been the most popular one yet as in terms of ‘‘views’’. I dont think if the March SAT official thread was this much viewed.

Any thoughts on the cr question order on the saturday test?

Haha, never knew college cofidential existed until May for the AP tests… so that’s like 50 less views because I wasn’t here! ^_^

anyone else think that the mlk passage was EXTREMELY POORLY WRITTEN, and had extremely subjective answers (not that ALL reading questions aren’t subjective - one of my issues w/ college board)

well, Mano82 maybe you put one too many marks. I don’t really remember the number of questions, so I hope you didn’t do that.

I completely agree, Reykjavic. Those MLK passages were terribly written. Couldn’t hold a postition for more than 3 seconds between them. To make up for the BS Reading passages, I better get two 800s in the other sections.
