So I’ve heard that the SAT in January has the biggest curve and I would like to take full opportunity of that curve. =D I’m making this thread for anyone else who is planning on taking the SAT in Jan. Any advice on how to self study for 4 months? I did a PR course and really I thought it was a waste of money and I felt self studying would be much more effective. I’m going to be a Jr so I need to do well on the SAT. Any suggestions/study guides would be appreciated. Thanks!

For me I need to improve a LOT on CR as I find the passages extremely boring and Vocab kills me. I Avg around 520-610 on Cr. >_>

I do decently on math averaging around 680+. I always get stuck on the last few problems in each math section…

Writing i also need to improve on… Especially grammer and sentence completions. My essays are fine though. I get 11-12’s on my essay. My writing scores usually range from 570-650.

And how do you know that the January test has the biggest curve? It isn’t even released yet, no one (except the test makers, and they definitely won’t tell you about the questions) knows what the questions are, much less how big the curve is…

If I take the SAT in January 2011 and I am a high school junior will colleges see this score, or do colleges start looking at the SAT’s from May and June?
