**Official Princeton Class of 2013 Decisions COUNTDOWN!**

I saw that email and my heart skipped more than a couple beats. If the notification date email makes me nervous, I’m going to be a huge mess on the 31st! Yikes…

I got mine 5 hours ago.

I never got an email! I am freaking out!

^ me neither, EmekChris. Does our delay in emails have anything to do with rejection???

aaaahhhhhh i hope not!

ahh!! I didn’t get one either… maybe it will come soon???

Hello, I’m BlueOcean, I’m the new guy.

I’ve applied to Princeton from Middle Europe (PM me to find out more) and I’ve been surfing through Princeton threads since Christmas. Now I’ve finally decided CC is not just or at least not only a waste of time ;)

My two cents on the spreading panic about the notify.princeton.edu email: I just got mine 2 minutes ago. With OneKingOneLife saying he got his 5 hours ago it seems Princeton is just not sending them all at once. I don’t know much about server load but, depending on their server size, sending 21,869 e-mails at once may be a strain (geeks correct me if I’m wrong). Thus, if you don’t get an email for the next few days it may be either that you haven’t registered for the application tracker (do that here https://admissionapp.princeton.edu/uarcd/register.jsp</a>) or that your just not on one of their mailing lists.

What I’m quite sure it does not suggest is whether you are admitted, deferred or rejected.

And now for something completely different…
@FloatingSaturn: You said we would all put more weight on our personal bests, were we admissions officers. I agree. We would push applicants forward that were similar to us in our hopes or talents. You just smashed my conviction of that I would be good a admission officer. Because the hard thing in admissions (apart from stress) may be to value applicants with ambitions and strengths that are different from our own.

Hey, BlueOcean, welcome to the club! I will have to correct you on something- CC is most definitely a waste of time, and little else. Well, it is also a good place to freak out…but I digress. Oh, PM me- I’m curious where you’re from . :)

No worries about the emails, people! I’m certain it has nothing to do with your decision.

I have no email either. However, I did get one when my application was complete, so they do have my address. Strange.

I just got the email, phew!

It feels good to be already accepted to another school. I’m not as freaked out about princeton now as I could be had I not been accepted to Caltech. Good luck to everyone on decision day!

Got mine at 1:06 PM PST.

did anyone who got the email not activate their account until recently? still no email but i just registered yesterday…

I didn’t get an email!

But I didn’t activate my account either…

I didn’t get an email, I activated mid-January…

I almost had a heart attack when i saw that email…
:(

me too. then i read it. :/

I still haven’t gotten it :(:(

I haven’t gotten it either. It probably doesn’t mean anything, but a tiny voice in the back of my head is wondering. :(

Don’t worry about it. It’s probably just the people who made the tracker thing to keep track of your materials first. or…

Maybe it’s like decisions, only the people they want come first…

either ways, it’s not like you can do anything about it right? So chillout, grab a soda, watch a movie, kiss a person of the opposite gender (preferably hot), and live your life!
