**Official Princeton Class of 2013 Decisions COUNTDOWN!**

I think it would be fun to be an admissions officer.

I’d try to be reasonable. And place a lot of weight on the essays. But I haven’t given it as much thought as Amadeuic. Waaaay too tired to do that. :)

I think they should let the Princeton students be the admissions officers. They know what they are looking for in a class and they can still relate to the process we’re all going through right now.

i think i would much rather be an interviewer

if i was an admissions officer, i would feel much more inclined to go objectively and put the gpa and stats ahead of everything else.

if i met the applicants in person, i could get a much better handle of their character and personality.

of course, this is because i think i am a lot more interesting/better in person than on paper.

i wouldn’t put too much weight on scores, most everyone has really good numbers and once you get to a certain level it’s really not that important. i’d mostly look to make sure their scores and grades are in line and then see who i want based on what else they can offer (ie ECs)

Sleeping is giving in, Butternut.

If I was an officer I would admit alot of people who were passionate, it sounds cliche but if an applicant had a clear interest and showed it through essays and ECs I would be swayed.

I would place more emphasis on a transcript considering the SAT is decent. And I would value the ACT over the SAT because I did alot better on the ACT :)

Eesh, I absolutely couldn’t deal with the ACT.

I just don’t understand what it’s about and why it needs to exist.

It needs to exist so I can get into college!!! 34 versus 2070. ACT FTW!!!

i didn’t know the act existed till i came onto cc
too bad im stuck with a 6 in my essay in the sat

baah suckers…

I think we’d all put more weight on our personal bests. But that’s probably just human nature.

yeah but sometimes I get too antsy to read. I won’t be able to concentrate.
lol So many ccers think reading is the answer to all problems.

^ lol…tenchar.

@FloatingSaturn: haha yeah… I can’t read when I’m stressed either… I prefer watching movies :)

I give up…

movies always help

books always help  …except when CC ensnares you. Ok I’m getting off to actually do something useful with my life, because I feel like I’m rotting away in front of the computer. Anyone else feel this way? ;-)

^ Yes. I need to do more useful somethings with my life. I have a study abroad phon interview in thirty minutes, does that count? :p

I just got an email from Princeton, saying decisions will be online @ 5PM the 31st at https://notify.princeton.edu . :o

lol me too  Ah, emails with those senders always freak me out ;-)

I never got an email? Does that mean I got rejected?
