lol yeah… much lesser posts of prayer, even lesser post dedications and chants for unity!

well, we’re all still getting in regular decision, right? I think that was the pact. ^^

15 days :)

Haha yes WindSlicer. Every single one of the deferred “ED family” is getting in. And then everybody else who is on here all the time as well.

Or at least we can hope so.

lol windslicer- thanks for reminding the pact… surely, all of us have to get in the regular round.

purely out of curiosity- what did you guys do to better your app for RD?

Heres what I did to improve:

I had a stellar mid-term report, 95 average unweighted. I sent in a letter reaffirming my interest in Princeton, and declaring that it is my #1 choice for college.

My guidance counselor then sent another letter a couple of weeks ago stating that I was still working hard in school, and he detailed various awards that I had received. He also mentioned another program that I just got involved in (interviewing Holocaust survivors and videotaping the footage). That program fits in with other aspects of my application (traveled to Germany to help strengthen German-Jewish relations, and to lend support to Jewish communities). I’m actually in Princeton now; I just met with a professor of psychology to discuss his research and what not. I will let them know of this immediately.

With that having been said, I’m fairly confident I put in a good effort. If ultimately I’m not accepted, I can rest assured knowing I did what I could.

WOW i didn’t realize it was only 14 days away!!! good luck everyone!!! i miss you EDers too although i definitely don’t miss the stress/anxiety…

This stress is too much. I am just the parent too. If I were an applicant, I think I would squint at the emails, look at the name and then captions really slowly to see if they say congratulations or something more generic like, “your application,” and then open my eyes slowly to see one full email at a time. I do hope that all of you make it. You are a bunch of nice kids, and any school should be proud to have you.

yayyy “Deferred Family,” i <3 you guys good luck!

I sent a letter in notifying them that I was a Presidential Scholar candidate, as well as an updated resum? and an abstract of a published paper I was a coauthor of. I also retook an SAT subject test (Math level II), and improved the score from a 740 to an 800.

wow BD89- that’s quite an effort…

Yeah, I just sent a letter updating them on a few new awards, that I started working and the classes I’m taking. And that I still love them, duh!

Not to mention that I moved to rank 1 and now am valedictorian :)

woah, congrats WindSlicer!

how come no one has used the fee waiver? does that heart u? what if ur income is also like 25,000? does that help or hurt?

It won’t hurt you.

BD89, did you ask the psychology teacher to put a good word in with admissions for you? The worse he/she can do is say no. Just an idea. But I think your updates are amazing, and they have to impress Princeton. Good job!

CMA1, thank you! But I didn’t ask him specifically. What I am doing is having my psychology professor (from my high school) send a letter tomorrow explaining in detail the topics we talked about, and how I went down to visit the campus. I believe I made a good impression, but I couldn’t bring myself to ask the man specifically for a plug. I visited him primarily because I was interested in his research, and I didn’t want to come off any other way.

14 days? 3-27? I thought the reply date was 4/1. And since that’s a Sunday and they use snail mail… you’d be lucky to get it by 4/3?

They’ll put decisions online.

And 14 days from today would be…March 29th.
