[li] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/denied:I made them an offer they couldn’t refuse… Actually, I think I just have good stats and showed passion[/li][/ul]Other Factors:
**General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc:**Best of luck to all of you!! I’ve calmed down now and i’m savoring the moment…

ahh congrats you guys :] i’m so jealous… and nervous… ahh

I’m jealous too!
Congrats all of you!

Yeah, congratulations!! I just got sooooo nervous for tomorrow…AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

where is pk? isn’t he in NJ?

Even though I have exams next week, I think I’ll sleep in tomorrow until 3:00 pm.
That way, I’ll get up and check the mail so I won’t have to wait =P
Unless it actually comes on Monday for me lol
Then my whole plan is ruined.

lol, omz. great plan!
hmmm, I wonder where pk is…maybe if we all shout loudly enough, he’ll hear our call. PK!!! where are you???

hahaha yeah i can just see myself, after pressing my face against the window all day, finally seeing the mailman and running outside to find that there is NO LETTER

My school so far:
A/D/R

1/1/0 Columbia
2/1/1 Penn
1/0/1 Brown
1/0/0 Yale
2/1/0 Harvard
2/2/1 Cornell
1/0/0 Dartmouth
?/?/? Princeton (I’m the only applicant)

We’re the smartest grade in the history of our school (50 years), and we are only a class of 124. We don’t rank, so I can’t compare myself to these people…but we would be the first class ever in our school to get 1 student into every ivy. It’s all on my shoulders now…=(

Hopefully, I’ll find out tomorrow.

REALITY…its getting too much. Monday seems very far now! :'(

That would be really cool jokeheads. I’d be the second to go to an Ivy. Period. A girl that had a strange schooling career went to my school for her Sophomore and Junior years and ended up self-studying her Senior year, and she’s at Harvard now. She did come back and get a diploma from our school, so we can count her, and we have a girl who’s at Stanford on a full-tuition swimming scholarship. That’s it though.

I was completely calm and everything before I came here and started seeing that people were getting their letters. Now my stomach drops every two seconds. DAMN YOU CC!

Two factors overlooked by most:

geography - when someone is applying states with few applicants like Montana and North Dakota, Alaska etc and to a lesser degree states like Oklahoma and Arizona - this is a very important plus vs overrepresented states like Mass, NY, Penn, NJ, CT - the northeast USA being the classic example

Those who know they won’t qualify for any financial (e.g typically family income exceeding 150K) and make sure they check the “no” box on the common application - in regards to early decision plan regardless of schools that claim “needs blind” this can be a plus factor at these elite schools which in effect have de facto quotas where for example in an average year they need to fill at least 30 to 40% of the admitted class seats with full pay students

sigh…

I live in CT, I guess it’s another point against me.

Could someone who got in please take a picture of the thick envelope and post it here so we can know at a glance?
