I’d feel compelled to beat myself up if I got that shirt, that comes off as really pretentious

dlema7, I understand your point, but I don’t think it looks conceited to wear the name of your school on a shirt, wherever that may be. Whether you attend a state university or an ivy league school, it is great to have pride in your school. I think that it seems pretentious if the school is ivy league. But a Rutgers shirt can be very cool if that’s where you go to school, or you just admire the school.

Understandable, pride in your school is great, but I think when the shirt says “its lonely at the top” is just the same thing as “we are better than you” , I don’t know, I would think it funny if it said “It’s pretentious at the top” as kind of a joke, but w/e

I think it’s funny that you can get that exact same shirt that has Harvard instead of Princeton (the at the top one). It is really pretentious and really shouldn’t be worn by anyone.

I missed the “lonely at the top” part. I agree with you.

bump (for some reason I cannot think of…)
