does a 196 mean that youre commended

Nope. 7 or 8 points more would’ve gotten a commendation, but a 196 won’t do it. Sorry.

My son got 184 as a sophomore 89 percentile.

i got a 201 in the state of WA

will i be commended?

hey has anyone heard of this special merit scholarship or something where the people that got really close to the cutoff but didn’t quite make it?

it definetly would be - congratulations!

Reading-73
Math 76 (one dumb mistake!)
writing 74
223
More than enough for Illinois.

can 215 make it Illlinois this year Bulldog? I know it was 216 last year but it has been 213 or 214 for every year before that. yes, and I also made one stupid mistake on the math, too.

Hi! I believe I’m the 3rd 240 scorer on this thread. I just checked that “Understand Your Scores” PDF that someone linked a while back, and I found that I had missed just enough to give me 80s on the 3 sections. Whew.

My score improved from sophomore year, too, by 16 pt. Don’t give up hope! (BTW, some colleges do look at PSAT scores!!)

Wow, you peeps are smart. These were my scores (I am a sophomore)

56 CR
55 M
59 W

For the grand total of 170:(
I am not a bad test taker, but I was very nervous. Why, I don’t no. My best friend has math and CR scores like mine, but got a 73 in writing. She’s a sophomore, so yeah, she’s pretty smart. Anyways, did any have a score similar to mine and make a big jump junior year? How did you do it. Please reply! I feel so dumb…

Read somewhere on this board that the cutoff in Illinois for this year will be 216. I don’t know how anyone can know that until the scores are reported,
