DAH!!! 206 NJ… ■■■… ■■■… ■■■…
haha, just venting, i’ll def be commended… maybe a verrrrrrry slight chance at semi’s if nj is full of ■■■■■■■ this year… which it might be… we have the purest heroine seized off the street in the world… SO HA AMERICA

cujoe … Not to be mean, but I doubt you’ll get semi’s. Usually the cut-off in NJ is 221.

217 in NY - think that’ll make it?

no way to know for sure
you’ll find out next september

Just got mine back. Sophomore. 236. (80v, 80w, 76m) awww YEA

Holy crap! 236 as a sophomore??!?!?!

Damn! Did you spend months preparing for the test or what?

No I only did the little booklet they send. Maybe it helps that my school is very strong academically, usually several 1600 SATs each year? I didn’t prep though.

yea i know, but my sis got semi’s with a 201 in nj in 2002… and i heard the class of 2003 was exceptionally bright

Youll get commended, and maybe that’s what your sis got, but your sis did not get semis in 2002 with a 201. The cuttof that year was around 20 points higher than that.

… In fact, the cutoff every year for NJ has been around, if not exactly, a 221 for semi’s.

What school do you go to olive_oil?

nooo… she def got a semi, we still have the letter… with a 201… there are discrepancies i guess, if ur commended, because she was like 4 in her class of 500 with a 4.96 gpa and a 1570 sat, so maybe those things swayed decisions… but def semis, i don’t know how…

I go to university HS in san francisco.

Bro, a 201 is barely commendation in the nation. She may have gotten commended and the letter was misread by you guys, but it’s almost impossible that 201 was semifinal anywhere in the nation.

ack! our stupid stupid school is not telling us our scores until we get back in January. Ah, O well. Whats weird is that i didn’t think this years PSATs was that bad, especially CR but the scores are said to be lower than usual. Hmmm… The suspense.

well yeah, because it was so easy the curve was really harsh. many people probably would have done better with a harder test.

Is the curve really that harsh this year? Or is it merely an exaggeration?

well, if the curves are that harsh, then most ppl would have done well. Ugh, I don’t understand the scoring. sigh just waiting for the score.

I live in Washington and got a 219 on this year’s PSAT. I know last year’s cutoff was 216, but does anyone know this year’s cutoff?

yes, but i am not at liberty to discus it
unless you are very rich
