Good luck!

i got a 172…is that really really really bad?

i really screwed up the math…writing, i got in the 97% percentile

whats the whole ‘commended’ thing? and whats the cutoff for that in CA?

our school has been holding the scores from us because they lost a few of the tests. The thing I am worried about is that I have not been receiving a lot of mail from top colleges recently, only info of a few summer programs in yale, and stanford. I was wondering if you guys immediately were bombed with letters from good schools if you got national merit?

inthemoney,
My son is a junior and had a superb score. He hasn’t gotten much of anything in the mail yet.

Inthemoney, My dd received a 222 and she’s a junior. Mail has been slow so far, so don’t worry.

Don’t worry if colleges haven’t started contacting you. I doubt the colleges have been given the info just yet. And, if they have, they are probably in the process of getting their mailing lists together. Don’t forget, colleges are not given your child’s actual PSAT score – colleges are just given info such as “students who scored in the 200 - 240 range”.

thanks guys, I just got my score and I’m a little worried. I live in ky and I got a 213(due to some blatant careless errors), which is the 99th percentile but the cutoff last year was 212. I know this is a down year so my question is in a state with a low cutoff are you most probably in with the 99th percentile?

inthemoney, I don’t think you need to worry, it is very likely that you make the cutoff.

still havent gotten them back

getting worried and angry

thanks bomgeedad

Hahaha me neither. I havent gotten mine. I’m still wondering what they’re trying to do with the scores… Whatever it is, nothing takes THAT LONG to accomplish.
