@drew1710 yeah you should be safe. Last year it was 201

Just a question… commended status is not subject to state’s cutoff, like semifinalist?

I CALCULATED 207. palm’s method is completely correct, right? I live in Louisiana, and the cutoff scores have been:
208 Class of 2015
209 Class of 2014
209 Class of 2013
209 Class of 2012
210 Class of 2011
207 Class of 2010
208 Class of 2009
206 Class of 2008
I think I’ll just barely miss it:( People have mentioned on this thread that this year’s average score was a lot lower than usual??? Can anyone confirm this?

We don’t yet know about this year’s average scores, other than students’ comments about test difficulty, or their personal scores compared to last year. The data in the 2014 report is from LAST year’s test. Unfortunately you’ll be riding that bubble for some time yet.

@kittymom1102 commended cutoff is national, so it is not subject to state cutoffs

I’ve seen it works for others, but when I try the second link (after signing in) it says: My College Quickstart™ Is Temporarily Unavailable. I’ve been trying throughout the day. Any idea why? :/

I am pretty sure .25’s round down.

I took last years test as well and scored a 169…without prep.

This year’s test I received a 232 with prep.
I still think that this year’s test was easier than last year’s, but not by a whole lot.

I was thinking of making a thread explaining how I raised my score 63 pts. Should I?

@Asutosh11 definitely. I went from a 162 without prep to a 218 with prep. Not as big a jump, but I can definitely relate.

I went from a 159 to a 217, but a 2270 on the SAT (I am retaking for Math (720 -uncharacteristically low for me- and Writing (750))

I made a jump from 188 to 211, I think. Though this is not as large as your guys’, I was studying for the ACT at the same time, as my school stresses it over the SAT. I hope I can get NMSF, but I’m not sure, I guess we’ll see. Anyone else here from Ohio?

last year i got a 174, fresh year 170
i got a tutor over the summer and am taking a college accreditted prep class in hs
and according to palm…'s method got a 206 will this qualify me for nmsf in florida … also will their be an asterik nextt o my score since im commended or na

According to that method, I got a 179 as a sophomore w/o studying…

CR: 50 (-18)
M: 70 (-4)
W: 59 (-8) :(

And this score (amongst other things) is what will determine if I get accepted at an awesome HS during junior and senior year

@wyatttttt, I am not clear on whether the “temporarily unavailable” page is the error page that was referred to in the original instructions, or something else (bad luck for a few of us curious types!!) @palm12341, what does the “temporarily unavailable” page that so many of us are seeing mean? Is the hack not working for us?

@AKFirefly It means that you got that whole section correct (no incorrect questions)

Wow, well that’s great news for my daughter. Looks like she has no errors!

@palm12341 what does it mean if all the links gave me an error?

@hk9928 that means you got a perfect score nice job!

What are the chances that the grading machine didn’t see my answers or messed up?

Thanks, Palm, for the hack. It worked for me. My daughter’s scores were:
CR 80 (-1)
MA 80 (-0)
WR 73 (-2) (wow–tough curve)
233

Those who are getting errors–I’m not sure it means your kids have 240s; the hack worked on my daughter’s math exactly the same as on the other sections. I hope it means 240s for you all, but I wouldn’t be confident of that.

My daughter has made over our state’s cutoff every year since seventh grade, but I was a little panicky that she would blow it this year when it counts. A 240 would have been fun; useless, but fun.
