I got a 216, but I’m from CT, which typically has cutoffs with 220 (±2),

Hoping for a miracle, but I am aware it’s unlikely. Do you know of any year where the cutoff was really low compared to its average?

@hl54321

A couple years back Alaska had a 8 point drop, so you still got a shot. I wouldn’t count on that happening though.

My son’s scored arrived by mail today, exactly as predicted by the palm’s hack.

So when you get the scores, will it tell you if you’ve qualified for the national merit stuff?

@alldaboston – Short answer, no. You don’t officially find out until September.

Got my scores back; turns out I used the Wednesday curve instead of the Saturday curve. But yup, did exactly as Palm’s method told me I did.
R-78 (-2)
W-80 (-0)
M-80 (-0)
=238.

@Latios which reading qustions did you get wrong? Great job!

@Latios holy shit dude thats incredible!! congrats man

Did someone here mention that access code will be emailed today or tomorrow? Our school will distribute PSAT in January after the winter break.

That was me but sadly I may have misunderstood the GC.

Finally got the official score report from the school, matched what we figured from Palm’s method. Right on the cusp – good enough for seven of the last eight years but there was that other year, so S16 can’t rest easy until cutoff is announced in September.

Just got my score today: 232.
CR: 72
M: 80
W: 80

I’m from Washington… Is this enough for the NM cutoff?

Oh my gosh!! Got my scores yesterday…
CR: 74
M: 80
W: 78
Composite: 232!!!
So so so happy!

Got my score!

234

CR: 80
M: 76
W:78

I’m from WA too. 232 should make the NM cutoff. Last year’s was 219 for Washington, so that would be quite a jump for you not to make it, mochafrozen.

Thank you KayWulf Congratulations to you too!

Perplexed. I have been eagerly watching the mailbox for a couple of weeks now waiting for my son’s score. We’re in California, and homeschooling. I see a lot of other Californians, including homeschoolers, have received their scores already. Are there any others from California (Silicon Valley/Santa Cruz area) that have not yet received theirs? Palm’s method says he got 220. It would be great to confirm.

We are in CA and got the scores from the high school already. I don’t know how long they have had them. I didn’t try the Palm method–wanted him to see it first at school. He is a sophomore, but would have qualified for NMSF if he were a junior. Oh well, all new test next year.

ynotgo, congrats to him; that’s wonderful! Can I ask how long ago you got your scores and what general part of CA you’re in?

@CoramDeo7 Got them this Wednesday, but the school office may have sat on them for a few days because they were dealing with schedule changes for next semester. Coastal central CA. Since you are homeschoolers, I would expect you to already have your scores, since generally an envelope is mailed faster than a box of 800 results. I would call the College Board at this point if I were you.

Thanks; mail should be here any minute but if it’s not in today’s mail I think I will. We’re coastal/central, too. :)
