QB is a wonderful program with many opportunities - and a great way to implement your applications. - it gives you a good start and if you qualify - the ‘perks’ are helpful in saving application $$. However, JMHO (don’t jump down on me) - if you are not a minority, from an ‘out of the way’ underprivileged community, without a very special life story, not ‘first generation’ college, and your income is above 50M - you may get to the finals, but you will NOT get the QB Match. However, that being said, if you get to be QB finalist, it is a BIG help & plus with your college applications & acceptances. Don’t be lazy - Go for it! You have NOTHING to lose!
(My GS is now in his 2nd yr. @HARVARD - he was a QB Finalist, but did NOT get Match - he was accepted (regular admission) to all the ‘ivies’ & little ‘Ivies’ he applied to (except M.I.T) & all the QB schools applied to, with full scholarship. It WAS a harrowing application year - but worth it all in the end…
