tons of ECs, jobs, and my parents make 24K

@collegegirl333 – what colleges did you rank?

question: if i did good on my sat but only took one subject test, can the act take the place of the missing subject tests?

Also not matched, and though I don’t want to sound angry towards those who were matched, I am slightly surprised that I wasn’t matched with at least one of my schools. Congrats to everyone who was however!

SAT: 2200

WGPA: 5.56/6
Rank: 1/274
APs: Six 5’s and a 4
Income: <$35,000
Work two part-time jobs

Not sure exactly what it was that I didn’t have, but oh well. Regular decision would hopefully be more kind aha. Best of luck everyone

Was not a matched finalist, but hey there’s RD! I felt that my chances of being matched were low, but it was the dread of having to complete more supplements that had me down. Congrats to those who were matched! =D

Rejected :(. Ranked Princeton and Yale. Congrats to everyone who got it and good luck to the rest of us during RD!

SAT: 2340
Rank: 1/280
GPA: 4.00
Weighted GPA: 4.48
APs: Six 5’s and one 4
Income: <$38,000

Yay Williams!!
Didn’t see it in my inbox, freaked out, then found it in spam.
Congrats to those who got it, and good luck to all!!

Oh, just for stats (I’m not sure if anyone else mentioned this already), Williams took 15…

Congrats! =)
didn’t get it…thought had a slight shot, ah well. Anyone know how many got Brown?

@malenonfare

what schools did you put on your match rankings?

Only four got into MIT?

Accepted to Yale! Here are my stats, copied from the finalist stat thread.

Congratulations to everybody who got matched and to everybody who did not: I’m confident that all of you deserving people will get into a great college in RD :)

SAT: 1510/2300 (Superscored–I took the SAT I twice) US History: 770, Literature: 750, Math II: 720
GPA: 4.00 UW/4.5ish W
Rank: 1/397
APs: AP European History (5), AP Calculus AB (4), AP US History (5), AP English Language and Composition (5), and currently taking AP Calculus BC, AP English Literature, AP US Government (second semester), and AP Japanese.

Location: Washington
School: Public inner-city. Competitive.
Ethnicity: Asian (Chinese, of course) First generation.
Gender: Female
Income: ~20K, only child in single family.

EC’s: Creative writing (participation in various programs and various forms of validation—nothing super impressive though), private violin lessons (7 years or so), orchestra (Principal Second Violin in 11th, Program Designer in 11th and 12th and other orchestra-related activities), school literary magazine (submissions editor), Gay Straight Alliance (officer), Book Club (founder and president), JV in Cross Country, and miscellaneous volunteer experiences.
Work Experience: None except for miscellaneous volunteer experiences at the point of my QuestBridge application.
Awards: National Merit Commended Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, Honorable Mention in Letters About Literature, some publication.
Recommendation letters: Okay, at least. I asked my AP LA teacher and AP US History teacher from last year to write mine. My LA teacher loves me, so that one should be good. I worked really hard and did really well in AP US History, but I find my teacher rather inscrutable, I’m afraid.
Essays: I’d like to think they’re the strongest part of my application. I wrote writing (my main passion in life), my struggles with violin, and Book Club (using reading as a metaphor for empathy), but I didn’t really talk about any real struggles I’ve been through in life. Though I did not make any glaring errors, I did not have enough time to do any intense editing since I decided to apply rather late.

Am I the only one who did not get a notification yet?
I want to find out the result so badly :(

@pizzlenation: I ranked Princeton, Yale, Stanford, and Notre Dame. I was hoping to at least be matched at Notre Dame :/

“Rejected” by Parsons…
Does anyone know somebody who did make it to Parsons?

Okay, so i got accepted to USC, BUT now thinking about it, I dont really wannna go to USC. Like it wasn’t my first choice anyways. I wanted to attend MIT, Upenn or Caltech. So if I say No to the College Match Scholarship, can I go for the QB RD Process or I have to do it without QB?

@joojoobean

I haven’t heard yet either. I sent them an e-mail asking if something was wrong around 7:15. Still haven’t received any form of contact. Should we just assume this is bad news?

@izenonology

I thought USC was binding…? If not, then you would be able to use QB RD

yeah USC is binding, but I m thinking of saying no to USC. I think do have a good chance to get into the colleges of first choice. Wht do u guys suggest? Should I just stick to USC? Or stake it for the sake of getting into anyother school? I am so confused .

@enthusiasmcurbed

Since many people have posted that they have been not matched, I think we should have got an email no matter what our status are. (I hope so…)
But for sure I did not got accepted to MIT because I just got an email from them suggesting several actions that I can take :(

you cant say no too binding…

anyone accepted to nd?
