Wow! Congrats newaccountt!!! That’s awesome!

Wow awesome, congrats newaccoutt! I got deferred, but that’s better than rejected! (Maybe if I can cure cancer and report that on my midyear report…
)

I am so thankful for Questbridge right now. One of my best friends was matched with Yale, and last night I got into MIT EA!
I honestly don’t think I could have done it without the space to explain my situation and express myself that the Questbridge app gives. :)

I got into MIT EA TOO! QB FTW

CONGRATS TO YOU GUYS!

Anyone know how we do a mid-year report for Questbridge? I’m a finalist. There isn’t anything in the locker.

No mid-year reports to Questbridge directly. If you are applying to a school RD, send the mid-year directly (mail or through CommonApp).
If you were matched, contact your admissions officer liaison to see if you need to send a mid-year report or just a final. Most likely, you will have to send a mid-year.

hey guys. im a QB finalist and forwarded my app to the 8 schools i initially ranked. I know i can check if they received my documents (like transcripts, test scores, etc) but how do I know if they’ve approved my CSS non-custodial parent waiver form? thanks!

I was actually admitted to MIT EA, too (!!!), and I was wondering–do QB finalists get their financial aid packages any sooner because they already have our tax forms, or do they wait to process the FAFSA, first?

Hi, I just wanted to say that I am also an unmatched finalist, but I was accepted to UChicago on friday!! QUESTBRIDGE FTW! You really can’t lose :)

Congratulations to all you finalists who have been admitted after the match via your QB application! It would be great for all of you next year to tell your results to the new QB applicants. Each year there are many threads, posts and posters that ask if QB is worth it, does it give you a boost, etc. Your input to them would be great! Again, congrats to all!

I too was unmatched, but got into Northwestern ED last week. I just got my FA tonight and it’s amazing, almost as good as the match scholarship. Finances should definitely not deter anyone from RD!

…so there’s no way of knowing if colleges have received your financial documents, including non custodial parent waiver petition? or they notify us if they don’t have it?

I’m not sure if that’s the answer I was looking for. What if the school doesn’t want the CommonApp? Do I still use it to send the mid-year?

On the Rice University Supplement, question #13 asks: what other colleges are you applying to? The form only gives about one line for an answer; I cannot possibly fit the list of colleges I am applying to. Should I attach a piece of paper or should I list what I can fit–only four?

BTW I have a long list. Because I do not have to pay for application fees, my counselor told me there was no downfall to applying to as much partner colleges as possible. Would listing a bunch of colleges seem negative?

I was an unmatched finalist but accepted EA to MIT and non QB application to CalTech EA acceptance. Yeah! I’m also applying RD to Northwestern so we’ll see how it all pans out. I think a big part of the decision making process will be the financial aid packages so we’ll just wait and see. I’ve been very appreciative of QB. Thank you!

for RD folks, when the common app asks if we’ve previously applied, what do we say?

The answer is no. This is the same application round and you have not previously applied in another year.

@collegeboundinia: Congratulations on the ED acceptances, but as far as CalTech goes, isn’t it against the Questbridge agreement to apply outside of QB for early decisions/actions? I understand that MIT allows non-matched finalists to be transferred to their second roud of EDs after QB discloses acceptances on Dec.1st, but I’m quite positive that it is against the QB agreement for finalists to apply ED/EA outside of their program.

If that is the case, then you got an unfair chance than the rest of the Questbridge finalists.

Are supplements sent through paper or CommonApp for QB schools that don’t require the full CommonApp?

@ironturtle, supplements (for QB schools that don’t require full Common App) can be submitted online through the Common App website.
