[li] Why you think you were accepted/rejected/waitlisted:[/li][/ul]Other Factors:
General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc:
Had a great interview report

AAAAAAAHHHH in CA and nothing yet. It’s funny how my top choice is the last one to come. I’ve been deffered in EA and is VERY anxious about the response. This is definitly driving me nuts! -Berkeleysonian

Decision:ACCEPTED!

Stats:

SAT: 800 V/780 M/710 W

SAT IIs: 760 World History (took it on a whim), 760 American History, 710 IC Math, 660 Chem.

GPA:Horrid. Don’t even know. I was the last kid to make it into the top 10%.

Rank:41/400ish.

Major:Econ and Public Policy double major!

Other stats:5’s on American, Politics, Euro and 4 on Chem.

Subjective:

Essays: These were insane. I’ve been writing to New York Times and Foreign Affairs for years now and wrote about the shift of religion from a religious institution, to cultural, to political. Then I analyzed Darren Aronofsky!

Teacher Recs: Made me out to be god. Which I am, at humanities at least :/.

Counselor Rec: Better than usual I think since I constantly bugged her to make sure all my crap was in on time, so at least we had face recognition!

Hook (if any): Also a recruited athlete for track, as a short distance sprinter. But that was kind of an afterthought.

Location/Person:

State or Country: Competitive High School on Long Island.

School Type:Public. Medium.

Ethnicity: Turkish.

Gender: Male.

Other Factors: I also won this presidential scholarship award thingy. I already had enough money for college regardless of tuition costs, but an extra 10k or so a year isn’t so bad :).

General Comments: I was rejected from Wharton with Legacy, 50k+ Donations, 3 overnights, and rec’s from two CEO’s I directly interned for in the ED round. I was then rejected by Georgetown, Northwestern, Cornell, Dartmouth, Columbia, Yale, Harvard, Princeton…AND WUSTL. All this because my Math/Science grades were in the mid 80’s while everything else was straight 100’s unweighted. To hell with them and Chicago was my first choice after not getting into Wharton. I love Chicago sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.

what high school in oregon?
