^^ Probably. They don’t want the site to crash with the 43,000 applicants checking at the same time. I got my email at 6 this morning.

Anyways, Accepted!! CAS- Undecided
1960 SAT
3.75 Weighted GPA
Decent Ecs, great essays.
I got 40,000 in aid a year (including loans). My EFC was 7,000.

Congrats to everyone who got in!!! It’s unfortunate that some really great students didn’t get enough financial aid to attend.

Honestly, I think the reason behind the lack of aid/rejections for really good students is the fact that they applied RD. If BU sees a really good student applying there RD, their immediate assumption is going to be that they’re using it as a safety, so they’ll be less tempted to give them the upper hand. That’s my guess, at least.

I have question about general studies program
i remember i applied as art and science program, international studies, and i got into general studies. what is general studies? and why am i not in arts & sciences in freshmen and sophomore years? and the letter said like this:

“You’ve been admitted to the College of General Studies […]. During your freshman and sophomore years in the College of General Studies, you will fulfill most University liberal arts requirements and begin work in your desired field of study. You’ll then continue to pursue your degree in your junior and senior years in the College of Arts & Sciences or in one of our other undergraduate schools or colleges.”

does the biomedical engineering major have a special admission process since its their best program or is it once your in the engineering school you can pick the BME track, i indicated that interest on my app.

also does honor college notification come with the decision and will there be other notifications of Merit Aid or anything like that, my financial aid package is rather small…and would be really tight for my family

Looking at all the stats of people who got accepted, I’m completely shocked that I was denied.

No financial aid, though. It’s really shocking, considering that their little finaid estimation chart said my package would be like, 35-40K. I probably won’t be able to go because my family is poor :/

Congrats to everyone that got in ! I really think I’m going here now, they gave me a lot of aid. It’s actually just about the same price as SUNY Binghamton would be for me and I’m in state so I think I’ll most likely end up at BU.

ACCEPTED! and TOTALLY shocked. before i checked my decision, i saw all the people w/ great scores who got rejected and then i psyched myself up for rejection…

but:
SAT 1820
5 APs
GPA W 3.8ish
I forgot what my exact scores for SAT Bio and US were, but they were like, 580 and 610 or something.
Some small awards, a few clubs, lots of church volunteer hours, a section editor of the school newspaper for 2 years and a staff reporter, and a part time job.
And I like my essays.
Accepted into College of Communications!
