i put that

if tension in Y is halved, then the velocity of Y is 1/root(2) * X, isn’t it?

Tension in X was halved i think

gd why are there so many planetary stuff in this test pretty sure i got most of them wrong

Think I got Rekt. I knew all the planetary ones but got screwed on the questions on magnetism in wires on 17-20. Then I skipped the last 8 cause I ran out of time. Rest in kill 800, rest in kill

I’m hoping for a 770 or above on the physics one! I left quite a few blank though, but I know that the test has a pretty generous curve. I’m thinking about retaking again in November after today…

This test was a lot harder than i thought it would be >.<
I used the Barron’s prep book, which didn’t cover nearly enough of the material on the test.

@riceislife I completely agree! I used Barron’s as well. I was hoping for 800, but now I’m not sure how possible that will be…

I used barron’s as well.

What did people put for the question about the mass attached to a rod moving in circular motion? I think it asked the direction of the net force at point P (half-way up the rotation on the right) and at what point was the tension in the rod at maximum?

@s1dav1s‌ I don’t seem to remember that one…then again, there were quite a few questions asking about tension and things in circular motion, so that doesn’t help my memory either :)

@rkepp12‌ There was a rod with a mass at the end of it and the mass traveled in vertically-oriented circular motion. There were velocity vectors that indicated both magnitude and direction at 4 points (bottom, right, top, left) along the outline of the circle. Doesn’t ring a bell?

@s1dav1s‌ I vaguely remember it now. I don’t remember the net force question, but just from common knowledge, I know that the tension was greatest at the bottom of the circle (if vertically-oriented).

I got a 710!!! Really happy because i skipped a lot lol

770

The test was pretty easy. I skipped a bit too many (like 7).

@rkepp12‌ @s1dav1s‌ @FenderFan54‌ Were there optics questions?
