OFFICIAL SAT1 Thread

BlackPenguin, can you give more details on the question?

I am so angry!!! AARGHHH. Why the HECK did I think the chimps were experimental!? I signed up for December already. I am so mad… there goes Princeton. Sigh. I swear I am probably going to get sub-700 verbal this time around. >.<

Anyone remember exactly what the question asked for the Sundays in the 30days calendar? cuz i got 22 for some reason, i remember i thought of 21 but then i changed to 22…anyone remember the exact question?

Something like: What is the latest date the third Sunday can be?

i put it was EQUAL
coz 90 is the highest angle in the triangle

Yeah they are equal

x + x + 2x = 180, 4x = 180, x = 45

I am so angry at myself for this stupid test. I’ve been studying my butt off for it only to fall to more foolish mistakes. Verbal tests don’t test my verbal ability. I understand the passages perfectly, but whether or not I would explain them in their semantics is another thing. Waaaaa

o the latest date?..why everyone has 21 and I got 22…@@ >< i feel like i got more wrongs than ever

does anyone remember any of the questions from the section 4 quantitative reasoning?

yea i remember some… like (1/2x) and (1/2)(1/x) that’s equal ryte?

yup! hey, was the one with the k with the circle around in that section too? or the one where you had the addition problem with missing numbers P and K and you had to find out which was bigger? I think I got those wrong, but I cant remember. Also the one asking if the prime factor of 225 is greater than 20

the k one is the mc in the first section for mine.

can someone tell me y the sunday one people had 21 but i got 22…y everyone started on a Monday? I started on Sunday. and ended up in 22…

What was the one in the jewelry section with natural forms and abstract ideas as answer choices? It was something about what Art Noveau was inspired by or something. What answer did you put?

I’m not sure if I can remember it properly, but the question asked what’s the latest sunday of the month possible if they meet on Sundays. If you start the first monday of that month after the last sunday of the previous month then you get more days because it has to go through a week cycle before it gets to the first monday of the current month. If you write out a calendar the last sunday ends on the 21st day of the month. This sounds really confusing, I’m sorry. I’m bad at explanations haha. I hope it helps though.

If you started on a Sunday, that Sunday would be the 1st of the month, the 2nd Sunday would be on the 8th, and the third Sunday would be on the 15th. You must start on a Monday to get the correct answer of 21.

how r the su sung and hte public clocks different!?

wait a second. That’s wrong, ignore my post. I can’t remember the question

can’t u get a fourth sunday? to make it 22?

riiight! it had to be the third sunday

the meeting has to be on the 21st
aite for the first day of the month…the Logical choice is Monday…which means that the last day of the other month was a Sunday…
now start Counting…
its the 21st!

CRAP, let’s get a consensus on the question mr sanguine asked…
“If it’s cloudy there are two options. Plan A: Go to bed. Plan B: Spend billions of dollars to make a blah blah blah…”
The question asked why the author put Plan A. It answered it was because it was what most scientists did because they became irritated… or something like that.
