Official September ACT Discussion Thread

Yeah I still have no clue what the 324 problem was??? And I hate this 60 second wait before consecutive posts

i concur with bladenite

OPPOSED is the answer. Yeah.

i think its talked down to. u can’t end a sentense w/ a preposition??? idk cuz they were all similar in meaning

scoled, talked down to, opposed, no change

“Belittled” was the last word, which was what I said. He didn’t really belittle them, because belittling them would mean that he was upstaging their virtuousness. I guess it could be right, but the other ones make more sense, because they give the image that Ben Franklin would continuously be on a higher level than the common people unless he humanized Poor Richard.

i got 324^

i remember the problem
“if you take a positive integer “x”, multiply it by 3, and multiply that resulting product by 4, which of the following answers could be the final product”

324 was C, and was the answer.
the other 4 answers weren’t divisible by 12. (they produced nonintegers) i saw it right away.

i put “opposed” for that english question. the other 3 verbs reminded me of something a parent would do to make their kid behave.

steelers it was like a certain positive integer was times by 3. Then it was times by four. Which of the following is correct?
281
324
etc

guys the answer was “opposed”

So what was the relationship between Jamie and Gerald? Were they very alike, or were they completely different, or what?

Opposed just didn’t make sense in the context. It’s not a grammar question. It’s a rhetoric question.

ferris wheel:12 + 40-40cos a (or something like that)
cabins: was it 100?

smarty. talk down to and belittle were too similar
so obivously theyre out

i think the talked down to/opposed question was a matter of formality…so i put talked down to

ferris wheel is right…cabins isn’t

"So what was the relationship between Jamie and Gerald? Were they very alike, or were they completely different, or what? "
First of all it was jake lol
Second, I get the 324!!! I just couldn’t remember cuz i did it in like 2 seconds You just find out which ones are divisible by 12

cclolzftw: right it was rhetoric.
opposed was different in meaning from the other choices

dylan thats what its seems like we agreed upon.
and the brothers that were together i put alike because they were always together and had the same color hair lol

yeah thats what i put for the brothers answer.

Who here thinks they got a 36 on any of the sections???
However thinks they got a 36 on Reading is a flipping genius cuz I could not understand the stupid Arnold Jake section like what was the tall steel building??? Was it were he worked or was it imaginary??? I put the latter

what did yall put for the loins masculinity questions?
