Official Sls Accepted Thread

as many of us are getting accepted to the USMA SLS '07, it would save bandwith (as for the forums have been a little bit shaky lately…) if we all just posted and congratulate eachother in here. also, it would help to break the ice when we do meet up during the summer!

post your name and what week you plan to attend.

i just got my letter today and i cant wait. im going for week 1 so it doesnt effect my finals. see you guys there!

Well I guess I’ll start this off. I was accepted 2 days after I applied, Dec 21st to be exact. My name is Randy Capocasale, Randy or Cap works just fine. I Plan on attending the first week, but I still have to get my acceptance notarized. Congrats to all those accepted, I am eager to go, and I look forward to meeting everyone else.

I’ve been accepted, I’m Tyler Wright. I’ve already sent everything in, and I checked the box for the first week! My screen name is “II Turbotw II” for anyone who has AIM.

Just got my letter today confirming my spot in the first week of SLS (June 2-8).

The date on the letter was January 8th.

My name is Brian Wenzler from New Rochelle, NY. Just got the letter of acceptance about 10 minutes ago, so I don’t have any of the stuff in, but I plan on going the second week. Congrats to all.

I was a little nervous, since the first week cuts into the last week of school, and the second possibly cuts into a couple of finals, but my school’s being really cool about it. I’d just have to take whatever finals I’d be missing (at most 2) in one day.

John T. Ross Walsh from Napls, FL just got accepted today! Very excited, signed up for first week. My twin brother was also accepted for Week 2.

Congratulations to all of you who have been accepted to SLS already. We can’t wait until you tell us that you’ve received your appointments in about a year. Personally, I’m especially interested in twin applications. :)

I’d also like to suggest that if you want to share your names that you do so off-line by using the pm feature. It’s just a basic security measure. We have lots of lurkers and even a few wierdos visiting us here.

how do i delete or edit a post?

Everyone who go in recently, when did you apply? I applied the 4th and am still waiting to hear back.

and what were your stats?

Hey It might go without saying, but my name’s Will. ( see name on left )
I applied the first day applications came out and got accepted within about a week. My stats are on another thread if you really want them.

2nd week, baby!

Week 1 for me. Like thewill, I too have stats on another page, and if anyone wants to contact me I have MSN and Yahoo messangers, myspace, and facebook, all are listed in my personal info. Or just PM me See all of you week 1 guys there!

Hello and congratulations to everyone else that got accepted. I plan on going to session one because session two conflicts with Kansas Boy’s State. And to CWJones, I also applied the 4th and got my selection packet on the 12th or 13th. My stats are as follows:

GPA: 3.74UW/4.15W

Does anyone else plan to apply or have already applied to the Summer Seminars at USAFA/USNA or the AIM program at USCGA? I am considering going to both the Air Force and Army ones. What about all of you?

I have applied to the AFA summer seminar, but due to my exam week(week 2 SLS), I will not be able to attend that one. I also plan on attending NASS week 3.

I would apply to airforce and usna SLS, however those dates conflict with Georgia’s Govenor’s Honors Program (a six week academic and social program at Valdosta State)! I get back from USMA SLS one day before I leave to go to the program if I make it!

Yeah, I applied to the USAFA SS on Friday. Does anyone know how long it takes them to process applications? West Point said no longer than 14 working days, but I can’t find anything about a time frame on the AFA website. Has anyone already applied and gotten word back yet? I should probably ask this question on the Air Force forum, but I figured some of you might have already applied to this one, too.

mrhazel44: I read some of the AFA forums and they usually take 3-4 weeks on getting back with you. I applied the 3rd, so I might know this week or next. I’ll let you know.

Got my accceptance packet in the mail today. Not sure what week I’ll do yet, if I can even go.

It’s been a while since I went to IAW (Back in the Old Corps) but I just wanted to say…stay in contact with each other. My IAW room mate was a good friend when we were cadets. One of the other girls in my platoon became my Beast and plebe year roomie, and her family became my “West Point” family. We went to each others weddings, and I spent a lot of time at her home on the weekends. Another squadmate was also in my squad at Buckner.

My squad leader tracked me down plebe year to check in on me, and another squad leader became a good friend through choir. Another cadre member was in my plebe year company. Keep that in mind when you want to do something wild and crazy…be out there, but don’t be stupid. They will remember.

Enjoy the summer! I wish I was going :)
