Really? On the app, they’re from this year. There’s still a little construction going on (but isn’t there always), but Cornell has such beautiful campus

Thanks, you guys! I agree with you, JPAPAS! An eight minute walk shouldn’t be so drastic (in the Spring, of course). However, if it’s in the Fall in New York, then that’s a whole other ball game.

I was born in Manhattan and resided in Long Island, until my family relocated to Georgia when I was six. Therefore, I feel like I know a few things about the weather (if I can remember, that is).

Couldn’t agree more with Chris00656! I’d also like to meet up with you all together sometimes on campus!!

P.S. Not hearing anything yet is so gonna stressed me out haha

I guess it’s only on a computer? When I use the drop down view from Google Maps, it says “Image Date: July 2009.” There’s no doubt about that JPAPAS; Cornell is “gorges.” (:

You’re right, but I’m going to say that when we get to Cornell, the start of the spring semester is probably going to have the worst weather (February-March). Someone needs to get their boots out of the basement…

I agree with you ccuser66! I feel like we would all become good friends!

That’s odd about maps, and I enjoyed the pun, emalo.

Oh man coming from Southern California… I have zero waterproof shoes.

Lol well stock up.

Nostalgia:

I know where you’re coming from. I’m out here in Southern Florida, but I love the winters up North!

Awesome emalo. Yeah I love the snow and rain, but the east coast spring just bombards me with allergies.

Nasonex to the rescue!

Would we really need waterproof shoes or boots? Wow, are the rainy days at Cornell that horrible? I’ll make sure to buy some rainboots.

Update:

I called SHA this morning. Decisions are coming out next week!

Thanks Emalo that’s a great news. Are all the decisions of SHA coming out then?

Ok so for all my AEM friends, I also called Cornell just now to ask about decisions. What I heard was that decisions will be released started next week up until mid-December. I asked about what order they were being released in and she said it’s not about when they applications were submitted but rather when they have all the documents that your application goes into the queue for being reviewed. Decisions are available either day of or day after they are reviewed.

Pretty scary that some could be released mid-December I’m a little confused how they expect us to find housing and get ready that late into the game.

I’m sure SHA is the same way! They’ll probably start next week up until mid-December!

Thanks for the update daddyk64! The message on Cornell Self Service has been the same for quite some time now i.e your application has been received and has been sent for review (or something to that effect). So I guess that means it has been waiting in line then?

Thanks emalo! That’s a happy coincidence since I also called today and they say there is no particular time for spring transfer notification. But they will start it from mid November to mid December. Lets keep our fingers crossed!!
