<p>Ha, wow. I was so busy replying to Brain Twin and BigKev that I hardly noticed the post count numbers for once…</p>
<p>argh i missed it</p>
<p>I find it interesting, though, that Stanford says that it could fill its freshman class 2-3x over with applicants just as qualified. That’s, what, 6600 or 6900 max? They had 32,000+ last year… I thought more people would be qualified!</p>
<p>I think somewhere a stanford adcom said that he couldn’t choose a better class with 15000 students then he can with 32000</p>
<p>Something along the lines of rejecting similar applicants.</p>

<p>What I think they mean is that from the applications brought to the final committee, a good 2/3 of them will be unfortunately axed. It’s not that the other 25000 aren’t very qualified, it’s just that they don’t meet Stanford’s requirements (which are crazy high).</p>

<p>Had to come back in here and say this, but the Weather Channel app tells me that there is a town called Stanford-le-Hope in the UK, which I think is really epic.</p>
