*Official* Stanford REA 2015 Applicants' Discussion Thread

I’ve been going over and over what elation I’ll experience, and, moreover, what my facebook status will be. I’l also probably run up and down my street a lot.

Yeah I know we get an email, but I was confused when some of the posts were saying that they were going to be checking the Stanford website to see if the decisions were posted…or something to that effect?

Yeah but even if I get in, I have to figure out the money situation. So it won’t be a complete relief

^ This. :-/

i’m surprised, and yet not surprised at how large this thread is. lol.

i live in california, and every semi-smart person at our school is applying to stanford EA. (not me though lol)

anyway, good luck to my friends who will try to join stanford’s ranks! and good luck to everyone else!

Knaves…!!

ive never seen so much middle english in a forum. ive never seen any middle english ever

OMG!!! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/stanford-university/1044745-predicted-rea-decisions-date-info-thread.html</a> Scary, huh? That should answer some of your questions :D

I just realized, if I get into Stanford, my senioritis will be magnified by a factor of at least 10. And I’m OK with that.

Hi everyone! I just returned from my MIT interview which was a 2-hour long SUCCESS. :D

I’m tired now though… :p

Good luck guys. I’ll be there to watch the spam tomorrow. :D

And here’s a note of advice. I mentioned this earlier in the thread (like at least a hundred pages back), but if you do not get into Stanford SCEA, its not the end of the world. There are other schools out there that may actually be a better fit for you than Stanford. You will eventually come to this conclusion, if you do go through this.

If you had taken a look at the Columbia University CC forums today, not a lot of people were accepted for the ED round. Most were deferred or rejected. Stanford isn’t an easy school to get in, and the acceptance rate - even for SCEA applicants (~12%) - are low by everyone’s standards. In short: Don’t expect less than a bloodbath tomorrow, if decisions come out earlier than expected.

I’ll be here to root you guys on. :)

Forget MIT, this is the STANFORD thread :cool:

Although some of us may need to start looking for our next choice soon… :(

Lol BigKev, I just hope my joy in having a successful interview isn’t going to be tainted by my pain at getting rejected tomorrow… :(

@Brain Twin: congrats! :D

…but, wow, 2 hours?

Only 1000 minutes stand between us and our decisions. Maybe.

@ Brain Twin: Yes, it lasted for two hours. We both found each other very interesting. :)

@Brain Twin: …not a euphemism of any sort, I hope? :p

That’s a good thing, right :)

Good luck at MIT and Stanford.

@WillDaSnail: They don’t call it the Stanford Slaughter for nothing, and if my school is any indication (which it probably isn’t, but w/e) the applicant pool is exceptionally qualified.

NO, definitely not lol. Besides, he’s married :wink:

Thank you! :D
