*Official* Stanford REA 2015 Applicants' Discussion Thread

y’all are a strange bunch… ;)

Says you…

Hey jason. You never responded to me on facebook.

Okay, CC took out my caps lock, which made it look a lot more creepy. Picture that statement as I’m yelling it at you, okay?

For the past month I’ve been waking up with hives and swelling and I just found out that I have a serious allergy to dust mites :/

ANYWAYS.
I’m trying to paste my supplement essays into the text box, but it’s cutting off my indents when I print preview. Have any of you guys encountered this problem?

Also, in case y’all are interested, I emailed Stanford again asking about resumes (they must hate me by now) and they said:

“We essentially do not want additional information that duplicates that which already appears on the Common Application. We are most interested in your key activities.”

That really clarified a lot for me. Hope it did for you too.

I think I do too. That probably explains my sneezing despite the fact that I don’t have a cold… in any case, I “evacuated” all my books/clothes/essentials, got some spray, and sprayed my whole room. Now I’ll be sharing my room with my sister for 2 days while my room settles down, because right now it smells like it’s filled with toxic waste XD

I didn’t indent mine…

Yeah, the same problem with indentations happened to me, but I’m not worried. I have read books upon books about college essays and talked to lots of people, and none have mentioned an importance of indentation ;)

Grr that’s really frustrating because I had beautiful looking indentations. Maybe I’ll email them…

And about the mites, spraying does nothing. I covered my pillows and mattress with these anti-allergen covers and it did the job.

So how many words are in your Common App essay? (That’s directed at everyone, just to clarify.)

I have 672. :)

I have 715.

I have 703

Aaaaand hello everyone, again. Yay for huge multiplication of this thread ahahaha xD

my common app essay was around 760 words

AHH STANFORD FINALLY RECEIVED ALL MY MATERIALS! I can breathe at last. :')

492, a little on the low side

working on Draft 4… it will be on the low side, though

around 480

Congrats nerdess! And from what I can tell from the posts so far, it seems most people’s essays ranged from about 450 to 750 words… :p

mine is 545, which is a huge success since the first draft was a little more than 900 words

I’m revising it right now because tomorrow I’m going to submit my application

Does anyone know at what time, exactly, will the SAT scores be released?
