I enjoyed that Old Spice commercial! It was neat, but I doubt that all the people that would read that essay have seen it.

Whee! Keep posting everyone :p

^^Safe to assume some, though?

1000 POSTS. OH YES. (but I had 999, which is also really epic…)

Most adcoms ARE pretty informed…

its a little risky with pop culture references, but at this point, it’s go big or go home right?

have you seen the sesame street spoof of the old spice commercial? its really cute:
[YouTube - Sesame Street: Smell Like A Monster](<a href=“Sesame Street: Grover Stars in "Smell Like A Monster." - YouTube”>Sesame Street: Grover Stars in "Smell Like A Monster." - YouTube)

Adcoms are usually in their twenties (the Deans of Admissions are the old(er) people). They watch regular TV, so I’m pretty sure they have seen the Old Spice commercial.

^^I loved that one! It was great :D

^Relieved to hear it. Thanks!

Finally sent it in. i*

Do we get email confirmation eventually from Stanford?

Yeah, they’re just suuuuuper slow. Annoying, right?

Haha yeah, well at least my app got “downloaded”.

Now I have midterms for my Differential Equations class to study for. If someone understands what exactly is an eigenvalue or vectorspace, let me know…

My app was downloaded! Ohhhh

Ugh, one teacher has yet to finish her recommendation

How do you have teachers if you’re homeschooled?

Also, has anyone read through the Stanford REA Decisions thread? It’s SO depressing. Everyone is crying and 2400 SATs are all getting rejected… Not good.

^

Well, we’re all boned…

What are your chances of getting admitted if you get deferred?

I haven’t received the confirmation either :(

yay for the 1000 :D

And there are all the emotional goodbyes of people who had bonded over the past few months… Gahh I don’t even want to think about it. Also, did anyone notice in that thread, people started posting about decisions on December 11th?

Yup I read somewhere on there that decisions have been sent out the Friday before the 15th the past few years… so I’m pretty sure that puts us at December 10th…awesome
