It’s not really limited by words because of the way the text boxes are designed. The text boxes don’t track the number of words, it tracks the number of characters. So if you used only 3-letter words, you could probably fit a few hundred more than their word limit. However, it won’t let you input any more characters after you’ve reached the limit of the text box.

I think. I’m pretty sure about this.

And as far as I know about it being cut off on the print preview, Stanford won’t see it if anything is cut off; they’ll have to guess what’s missing. I had to change so much stuff -_- At first, I had bulleted lists for my short answers and everything.

I have no idea when my school forms will get in. Hopefully soon, but since my school’s guidance office mails letters (on 11/1, from Florida) it could be a while.

Mine was downloaded the day after I submitted (10/26)
I don’t think they’ve read them yet; I think they are automatically downloaded.

I also realized I was an idiot and I checked the wrong bubble for my commonapp essay -_-
I put the prompt at the beginning of the essay so hopefully they don’t care

but I have a nightmare of an adcom going “what an idiot, this kid can’t even click the right bubble”

Oh wait, for people saying that their forms have been downloaded, does it actually say “Downloaded” and the date next to each entry, or only next to the main application? Because it only says downloaded next to the main app in mine, but the axess email says that all of my required materials are in.

^ You did?? That’s awesome! I’m not sure if I’ll be offered one though, even though I live pretty close to Los Angeles and I’m assuming there’s a sizable number of Stanford alums in the area…

Well the Stanford website says interviews will just be held in “Atlanta, Denver, London, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland (OR), Raleigh/Durham, Washington DC, and the states of Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia,” so probably not. Seems odd though that none of those are in California…

No I don’t think there will be any CA interviews. When I visited they said there would only be interviews in select areas because it’s part of a “pilot” program to test it out.
