*Official* Stanford REA 2015 Applicants' Discussion Thread

Great  I hope she sent it in then… although on the email I received, here’s what they said:

I don’t see that the counselor rec was listed anywhere, though hopefully my counselor DID remember to attach it to the SSR…

Credentials Not Yet Processed:

Wondering about the SAT. Send that out last month. It was the first thing I sent in fact… Need to hustle my teacher about that recommendation. Its weird because he finished the MIT one in roughly a week, way back in late September. You’d think he’d just transfer that. Anyway. I’m officially done with Stanford’s App.

Unless I get audited that is… :)

Alright, I just checked with my counselor and she DID send in the rec. Phew. heaves sigh of relief

In other news, I was on the CC homepage and saw that a member had submitted photos from the University of Alabama. I thought it was the University of Albania at first, and thought “whoa, they went to ALBANIA???” for a second. That would have been cool though!

Lol, I don’t think I would go to Albania ever, especially not for education.

My counselor sent in the forms back on the 17th…so I wonder why Stanford hasn’t marked them off yet…

I’d go to Albania… last known sighting of Voldemort :P

As of yesterday, they’d processed everything but my transcript, SAT scores, and Secondary School Report (should that be capitalized or not?) I feel like, because they have so many people applying, it’s not unreasonable for there to be a pretty good delay with things like SAT scores (where they’d be getting them from RD people at the same time).

i sent my sat scores to stanford back in january, but it still says they haven’t proccessed them yet. is this just an issue of them matching my scores to my common app?

^ I sorta have the same problem. I sent my scores in early October, and Stanford says that they still haven’t processed them. I think it’s just an issue of Stanford matching the scores to the whole application.

I think this is the case because Stanford says that it does not track additional information, and I don’t think that the counselor recommendation is mandatory.

The counselor rec is mandatory, but it is considered an integral part of the Secondary School Report so it isn’t broken out as a separate item on your credentials page.

Chill, everyone. It does take Stanford several days to match things up to people’s files when they are being deluged with stuff. They will let you know by mid-November if anything hasn’t made it to your file, and then you’ll have some time to follow up and re-send anything if need be. So if you know that you’ve ordered your test reports, and your recommenders have told you they’ve done their things and sent them, you can rest assured that things are under control.

^ Thanks for the reassurance zenkoan :)

Yeah, you guys should be getting an email here pretty soon that is semi-reassuring. If you are missing stuff, DON’T WORRY. Stanford will let you know by the 17th what is and is not processed, and if you are missing something you can re-submit it with no penalty. :)

Hi fellow REA applicants! Did anyone else have their address missing on the e-mail Stanford sent? My name and e-mail were correct, but my address was completely blank. I’m starting to wonder if I managed to somehow skip the home address section…

^That’s strange. My address was filled in…

^ So was mine  I’d suggest that you look at the submitted version of either your Common App or your Stanford Supplement as a PDF, and see if your address is listed on either of those.

I finally got my axess email :D

Same ;)

Now it’s time to play the waiting game…

It’s all there  Just sent them an e-mail, shouldn’t be too hard to fix.

I thought I would feel relieved/relaxed after clicking submit. Nope. Now I’m just counting down days.

If we don’t get in, the regular decision process for other schools is just going to be all the more stressful. Grrr.

My thoughts exactly :(

only missing the 2nd teacher evaluation…
