Well, don’t we? Is the lack of posts an indication of a significantly smaller early applicant pool? I wonder.

Just submitted the CSS profile! It doesn’t take too long, given that your parents have all the tax records on hand. Does this mean that they’ll be sending us info about our aid package at the same time as decisions come out?

@dapotatoman, the same thing happened to me the past few days. I’ve even starting dreaming about being anxious about decisions…yeah. :-/

@dapotatoman I think it’s more of the fact that last year’s thread had a lot more casual conversation, while we’re mostly discussing application-related things. xD

Ahh, I’ve been trying to forget about decisions, but every time I see a calendar, I start mentally counting down the days again. :/

Hope everybody’s doing well!

I submitted a resume, but I recently heard that Stanford said not to somewhere. I never saw that on their website though… perhaps its outdated? Does anybody know anything about this?

They just said they don’t want a lot of extra stuff unless it shows you in a different light but they’re not gonna hold it against you

@Mochas: When an adcom visited our school, she said that Stanford didn’t want one… But because you can’t change the common app (you can though) that it was okay.

I just called them and they said the CSS profile deadline isnt a hard deadline, anytime this week is fine. Wohoooo!

Anyone else having trouble finding motivation to complete other apps and kill it in school? I am dying here haha.

Motivation to complete other apps is that I’ve decided I’m not allowed to check my admissions decision until all my apps are in. (That said I only have 2 left anyways, and out of those 2 one of them I’ve already finished I just want to edit my essay before submission.) I figure if I get rejected or accepted either way, I probably won’t want to finish my other apps…so I’d best finish them now.

As for school, I want this year to be over already.

Agreed potatoman, I hate it how the most selective schools expect us to complete the most length apps while also taking a million APs

*lengthy 10char

Hey guys, my first post here but I also applied to Stanford SCEA. I’ve been lurking up to now, but thought I might as well join the conversation.

Agreed about not having motivation to do other apps… haha, should probably get on that!

why don’t we also start a casual conversation? i am SOOOO bored. theory of knowledge is over, curriculum in most classes already covered and it’s such a drag after the fall sports season

possible topics:
- how much senior year sucks
- how much senior year does not suck as much as junior year
- how much you love senior year
- senior sweatshirts (ours is f’ing terrible)
- new movies (anyone watched Friends with Benefits?)
- topic of choice

Senior year has been terrible for me. I am quickly running out of the motivation that I have had all of high school, although I still have all As. Even the parties or social events this year have been awful. Sports have been great though and I have started relaxing a bit in high school. I even skipped a day (first day ever missed for non-sports reasons!). Now, I go to a ski training camp for a week and a half and continue to wait and wait for December 15th.

Agreed with the lack of motivation for apps. I worked SO hard on Stanford, then whipped out my UC apps, and now I’m so unmotivated…

As for new movies, Harold and Kumar is hilarious if you’re okay with R rated material. Anyone have exciting plans for Thanksgiving?

What kind of music do you listen to? I LOVE Taylor Swift, and I’m a guy.

No worries stanfordcs, this xy listens to selena gomez

haha i started skipping classes and seriously none of my teachers really care, they’re as bored as we are. i can’t wait for tennis to start. right now it’s just basketball and the male population of our school’s getting cocky about it
how good is the new Harold and Kumar? the rottentomatoes rating was not very promising:P

when i read stanfordcs’s comment i immediately thought of the first short question on the supplement… favorite books/authors/films/musicians…

taylor swift would be fine if she just stopped acting like she’s surprised at winning during award season

Idk for some reason I don’t think that I’m gonna have senioritis. I still want to get the highest grades as I can and do well in winter and spring track, I’m a pretty motivated person. Also I have to get a date to prom LOL…
