Has anybody had an admissions interview for any school yet??

I have mine for Harvard tomorrow and have NO IDEA what to wear! My interviewer did not say whether or not this was casual but it’s at his house so I can’t imagine it being super formal.

@callmesarahhh I’d imagine it to be kinda casual, a polo and khakis would probably be fine or you could be unconventional like Steve Jobs, black turtle neck, jeans, and sneakers. ^^

I had one with MIT haha.
We met a coffeeshop. I wore casual business attire (blouse, skirt).
My interviewer was actually dressed pretty formally, so I was like whew
Just wear something nice; I read somewhere “dress like you want to get in”

@tsukiyami: good thing i’m a girl and can’t really go with the khaki & polo outfit haha

@jinglebell: thanks! I’m thinking a similar outfit with flats(:

also, what type of questions did they ask you? I’m worried that my interviewer is going to pull out a bunch of political and current event type questions that I have no idea about!

they’re not going to test you, but having some interesting stuff that you know about couldn’t hurt.

based on my Harvard interview experience, they like to ask you about books. What are you reading? What do you enjoy? Don’t put on some ultra-literary fa

A nice text convo I had with my friend girl (not girlfriend) that really took some stress off and hopefully by reading it, it will for you guys too! No one I know is applying to schools in the states from my area in Vancity, so it gets lonely in the process, and it’s nice to a friend who understands!!

Then we started debating about dr. oz, oprah, and kanye. Lol, I’ll spare you that part.

So moral here: You guys are awesome. Applying is a huge achievement. :)
