@pita I live in Cali and every time people get into my car I feel obligated to apologize for the country music I blast 24/7! Every once in awhile T-swizzle puts out a country ish song but it’s rare nowadays

dubstep is the worst **** i have ever heard. I feel like im losing brain cells when i listen to it

22 is a song on red

NOO we’ve been taken over by the country and rap fans… Indie hipsters, reunite!

Oh dear I cannot stand Taylor Swift. I could care less if she sings true “country” or not, but whatever she does sing, it’s quite painful to listen to imo. -____- I’ve never liked country music either though.

You guyz it’s time for bed! I have swim practice in a few hours!

rare #based #tybg #keke shouts out to all my people keeping it real. Shouts out to the world homies

Walk the moon, anyone???

…wow just wow.
T Swift is actually good, don’t why people hate her (same reason as they ‘hate’ 1D and JB? Disclaimer: I do not like 1D and JB because everyone else does. I don’t hate them, but I don’t think their music is very good either).

Taylor Swift has some pretty amazing vocals, AND SHE WRITES ALL HER SONGS HERSELF.

True, there’s so much angst and hormones in her songs to drown a velociraptor, but the music itself is good…

I’m a straight male, bt dubs.

22 is the best hands down :D

I like walk the moon!

Even though I live in California, my heart is in the South. I’ve already decided that even if I get into Stanford, I’m going to Bama anyway!

@gravity95. Totally agree. Stop the hate :p!

And yes, 22 is def the best.

@harborceal I got you! Check out Young Cairo, he’s cool

Did someone say dubstep sucks? You probably just hear bs…

Out of curiosity, how do you find other electronic music/remixes, like this?

[Coldplay - Fix You (Datsik Remix) - YouTube](<a href=“Coldplay - Fix You (Datsik Remix) - YouTube”>Coldplay - Fix You (Datsik Remix) - YouTube)

Classical is probably my favorite music, though. On the other hand, I love a huge variety.

How about this dubstep song?

[Nero - Innocence - YouTube](<a href=“Nero - Innocence (Official Video) - YouTube”>Nero - Innocence (Official Video) - YouTube)

I can see how it could be perceived as “brain damaging” as it is very tribal music, but that’s why people love it- it’s energizing! Have you been at a party where the build up comes and the whole room goes quite, then the drop occurs and something cosmic happens? People’s minds just sort of snap and a cosmic orgasm occurs- or at least huge serotonin, dopamine, and/or oxytocin releases in the brains of the partygoers. Good stuff- NATURAL HIGHS.

@stanfordboundkid haha thats why i like a school like vanderbilt, its the “stanford of the south,”. if stanford was in the south, that would be amazing.

and i like taylor swifts new song, “i knew you were trouble” or whatever its called

And this stuff is just dirty, yet somehow I can almost get into- it just makes you feel soo cool. ;P

[DatsiK - Nuke 'Em [Dubstep] - YouTube](<a href=“DatsiK - Nuke 'Em [Dubstep] - YouTube”>DatsiK - Nuke 'Em [Dubstep] - YouTube)

I do have concerns about the general US party culture and the attitudes this encourages… but alas, what can be done but embrace the variety of life and find the inner peace?

@harborceal yay!!! I’m not the only one!!
(on a side note, I’m creeping your profile and your birthday is the day before mine!!)

haginrainbow, I really like that Fix You remix.

i listen to all sorts of crap- right now is mostly eddie vedder, the xx, bon iver, iron & wine (if you don’t know them, look them up NOW). but also hardstyle (house/dubstep but with an melody <a href=“HARD STYLE!!!!!! - YouTube”>HARD STYLE!!!!!! - YouTube; ), coldplay, rhcp, kendrick lamar is sick. also indie.

i think limiting yourself to “im an indie person!” or “im a country/rap person!” is too limiting. different moods require different music

also, i think its funny how a Stanford thread has turned into a music thread.

Does anyone here listen to Cocorosie? Lovely indie band with strange music videos and unique voices.
